Is it a mistake for Usyk to want to continue?

What does he have left to prove?

Top 2 CW ever very arguably GOAT. Top 20 HW ever at this point now too. 23-0. Storied ammy career.

37yo ain't that old for HW but still why risk more fights? He said he can do more and he looked as clinical as ever.... but does he really get up for Dubois/Parker? Zhang/Kabayel? Bakole? LOL there just aren't any super prospects on the rise, he beat the top 2 guys of the era 4-0, beat the best young HW in Dubois. Why continue? Every fight this point forward he has WAAYYYYY more to lose than gain it's not even close. And he won't be getting paydays like AJ and Fury again.

I don't think theres any real meaningful fights left for him honestly. His legacy is secured, all he can really do is damage it from here out. Lest he Floyd Mayweathers the next Alvarez of HW I guess.

Exactly. He still looks like he's at top of his game. I'd pick him to beat Dubois again

He's made hundreds of millions at this point.... I mean just the AJ/Fury fights alone netted that through 4. Is it due to Ukraine conflict? I guess that could explain it actually.

If he has his health and wants to make buckets of money more - then continue.
In the age of the internet any misstep will be used to tear him down. But guys like Usyk aren’t worried about stuff like that.
Guy is a cemented legend. Odds are if he continues he will lose. He looked good tonight though

He looked incredible in there. His legacy is sealed. He could lose to Ngannou and he's still the GOAT HW

In a perfect world, Parker beats Dubois and then Usyk becomes undisputed a second time beating a different opponent

Seems like an ideal time for Usyk to ride into the sunset considering he accomplished everything there is to accomplish.

As for Fury, fight against Joshua at Wembley makes sense. Should be the biggest UK showdown since Benn and Eubank.

You can't blame him for wanting to fully encash his boxing career. He is now the big dog in the division who has beaten all comers and is now worth $100 million a fight, after spending so much time grafting in the amateurs, cruiser weight division, he fully deserves to earn the big bucks to enjoy it for himself later on when he is done with boxing for good. It's not like he's taken massive punishment or showing severe slippage in skills or reflexes.

Those eyes wanted to retire, but Dubois stole his moment, and he had to show face

No his resume is super short. All you guys talking about how hes got nothing to prove and his legacy speaks for itself are flat out wrong.

Hes not a top 20 HW ever with 7 fights(not title fights total fights) where hes ceded a minimum of 4 rounds in most of them he just isn't.

I would like to see him retire. Ending his career on top would be a very Usyk thing to do.
