I think wlad would loose everytime against usyk since usyk has easily the speed and skills to chin wlad on his glass .

I'm not so sure Usyk would have that much of stamina advantage. That's why I said that young Tyson trained like a madman - hardly ever had to use that in the ring, but I think he would have a lot left in the tank for the second half.

He was also a student of the game with high ring IQ, I don't think he would allow himself to just punch out early.

I was referring to more of a mentality issue than physical issue.

    Mike knocks him out early
George murders him in 3 (George before Ali would cut off the ring. You HAD to take the punches. If Ali just barely could dance around to get away,Usyk isn't doing it. He eventually had to had stay on the ropes and take the body punches and either Usyk complains to the referee that it was low, or he gets knocked out first)
    Wlad beats him.
Holyfield was a way smarter fighter than Usyk was and beats him.
    Holmes I think beats him.
Ali is hard to say. Usyk I think outpoints a 70s Ali. 60's Ali just was too fast. And if this is a 12 round fight, Ali dances for 12 rounds, He coudn't dance the full 15 before even in the 60s becuase he used to take a round rest

Vlad at his peak was a tough fight for anyone. His size, power and defence first approach was a tough nut to crack.

He was susceptible to a big shot though but that is something Usyk doesn't have.

Maybe not an exciting fight but a tough one. Probably a very technical, conservative fight.

    Tyson, Lewis, Holmes, Frazier, Ali.

I also think Norton would give Usyk all he could handle he could weigh up to 220 pounds and his style was poison for boxers he also had the stamina to live with Usyk which is what alot of these giants don't have now.

They are the same size and eventhough he hits harder he isnt bullying him. Also gasses out on the second half.

I think Usyk beats both versions of George.

How does he beat George during and before the Ali fight?
He is not gonna move anywhere as George cuts off the ring too well and George hits too hard so Usyk will be forced on the ropes.

    So now what happens?

If Gregorio Peralta can go 21 combined rounds with Foreman and Jimmy Young can comprehensively outpoint Foreman then I think Usyk is more than capable of going into deep waters with Foreman and outpointing him.

I followed Lewis closely back in the day, and though I was always a fan of his, I can’t see him matching up well with Usyk. Similarly Wlad and Vitali. Anyone whose bread and butter is a conventional (even if elite) straight 1-2 is going to be consistently opening the door to having Usyk closing the distance on them, and therefore fighting where he is most comfortable/happy. Lewis I think would struggle with the smaller and craftier Usyk. Wlad would try tying him up and laying on him which may help, but I still fancy Usyk.

Best chance I see is also Tyson stylistically, Holyfield too, and *maybe* Bowe - though I don’t rate Bowe as quite being in Usyk’s class tbh. But styles make fights - and although I rate Lewis and Wlad highly, I think their styles suit Usyk more than the others.

Ok so, Usyk looked damn good, but everyone needs to go rewatch Ali-Frazier 1 and Holmes-Norton. I’d have a hard time favoring Usyk over any of those four on those nights.

Frazier is his own unique case, but watch those and ask yourself what, other than showing how you fight a giant, Usyk actually did better than those versions of Ali, Norton, or Holmes?

nothing takes away from Usyk’s accomplishments. He cemented his status as an ATG and the best of this era. He could retire today and nothing would take away from that. But I’m not confident he’s BETTER than the other ATGs his own size.

I don't think George cuts off the ring well enough to pin Usyk down. George is too basic, too predictable to beat a peak Usyk, my only caveat being George went to the body well, even in defeat by Ali and I don't know if Usyk could stand up to that. This will sound heretical but I think Foreman is the most overrated of his generation because of his big wins against Frazier, a fighter MADE for him...

Let's see. Jimmy Young was AFTER Zaire where George changed his fighting style. Lyle is proof of this as George didn't know what to do when Lyle was laying on the ropes.

As for Peralta. You mean that Peralta that was knocked out in a fight with George later? Also there are just times where you fight someone and can't knock them out for whatever reason. It happens. No one in boxing has a 100% KO ratio.

So I ask again, what does Usyk do? Peralta never cried to the ref screaming low so again. Usyk is on the ropes, he is about to take a 7 round pounding to the body and now what does he do? He is not taking it

Again, Ali was not gassed after 1 round. you saw Ali was fighting for dear life trying not to get cornered and he realized he coudln't run away in the 2nd.
You can be as predictable as you want, but if you can't stop it,it doesn't matter. George will gas, but Usyk is not surviving on the ropes until then.

George isn't overrated at all,if he was , his second career woudln't have proven us wrong. Michael Moorer was a good fighter who beat Evander Holyfield. The same Holyfield George nearly knocked out before Boew did.

It is actually Usyk who is the overrated one when you REALLY think about it ( I think he is a GOATED Cruiser).

At heavyweight he fought Anthony Joshua, who was KO'd by Ruiz. Who was nearly knocked out by a 40 year old Wlad and took 3 rounds to recover from it.
He fought Tyson Fury and won twice. Who has been to war with Wilder. The damage was something people was in denial about when he was knocked down by Ngannou, I was one of them. Add his lifestyle and there you go, this is not the fury that fought Wlad.

This would be like giving Kevin Mcbride credit for beating Tyson at the end of his career. is Usyk old, yes, but he obviously has a clean lifestyle and he hasn't been in fights like Wilder vs Fury
