I’m going to rewatch but broadly viewed I gave it to Usyk 8-4 comfortably. Very clean and easily scored punches landed by Olek. I thought Usyk won the 12th clearly also to round off his performance. The Brit commentary was terrible so I assume (hope) that no one was misled by it.
Yes there was everyone scored it for Usyk in the RBR including me I haven't see a single person score the 12th for Fury. All 3 judges see it the same as everyone else they mostly all scored a majority of the last 6 or 7 rounds for Usyk. The first few rounds were nip and tuck as I said but you'd have to have Fury almost pitching a shut out in the early going to come up with a draw or a Fury win which is let's be real ridiculous.
I'm absolutely baffled by this fight, I had Fury winning, could make the case for the draw but had a tight Fury win, to me 8-4 is way too wide for the fight that took place, so Usyk could have given away two additional rounds and still kept this titles? Idk, no disrespect intended to anyone that scored it for Usyk, I'm genuinely baffled on this one ! Hope everybody enjoyed the fight though, I certainly did
I had it wide for Usyk, he was pushing the pace, more active, landing cleaner shots etc. For me to give these close rounds to Fury he'd have to have outlanded Usyk with clean, effective shots and I felt like the opposite was the case even if the difference was marginal.
No. Delusional to think Fury came close to winning that, got dominated the entire second half. Him and Frank Warren are living in a dreamland, everyone at the press conference should have let him know he clearly lost, again.
Watching it live I had it 9 - 3 Usyk. Watched it again today and I had it 8 - 4 Usyk. Could at a push give Fury 5 rounds, although that would be generous, but you could be equally generous the other direction and give Usyk 10 rounds. There would be no controversy at all if it wasn't for all the biased commentary and Warren and Fury whinging abotu being robbed. Usyk controlled the whole fight and finished with two big rounds. Most of the rounds I gave Fury he just edged, could potentially go the other way.
Going to watch it again but felt the draw would have been fair. Tbh thought fury had it in the bag because the judges favoured him last time out and wouldnt have really argued too much against a fury win. I do think his behaviour over the years has worked against him tho and his language etc after the pre fight staredowns backfired. Looks to me like the saudi,s dont really want that as their flagship fighter when their trying to promote their country etc. That and they,ve other plans ahead. Probably the best result going forward frees up fury v joshua and usyk v possibly dubois. But will watch it again....got my suspicion that usyk blocked more shots than i first thought. Was kind of surprised the commentary i was watching thought fury needed a knockout to win etc. I can kind of understand his anger after the fight. Was one of them fights either of them would have been angry....close fight. Fights like that can sometimes come up with 4 point gaps in fairness.
This hits the nail on the head. I don't see any reasonable way to score the fight a draw let alone a Fury win.
I felt it was close enough for a draw. But can't complain about the result. The challenger Fury needed to get a knock out
