Johnny Fisher vs Dave Allen is official for December 21

Well, I don't know WTF I'm talking about.

 

Man... I watching that and thinking someone like Price could get off the sofa and still whoop those guys(especially Fisher)

 

Allen lost every round before the knockdown, but won every round after it IMO, he got robbed.

 

Being generous, I had it Allen via the knockdown but really it was at least two rounds. What does my head in was one of the feeds (was Sky or DAZN can't remember) lambasting Allen for his showing in the last round or two, as though that excuses the blatant robbery.

I do agree with Allen's team on this though. If I'm Fisher, I'd take a tune up in between the rematch and really look to work on my defence. It was a question of when would Fisher get exposed, but it got done in the worst way possible. Constantly leaning over to his right, eating left hooks for fun, all while trying to blast Allen out of there in the first two rounds and gassing himself out. Huge tactical mistake that was because Allen has an unreal chin.

 

Poor decision aside- what a brutal contest. Just hammer and tongs for 12 rounds, battle of wills.

Both men displayed great heart and toughness. Allen seemed the more invincible of the two. Credit for Fisher for finishing on his feet. Particularly brutal fight for him to stay alive
