I love both guys, but I point out that Joe does not have the southpaw killing right hand. But this is a great, close fight. No one brings the pressure like Joe, and though the right was not great, it was good when delvered to the body.
At 200 pounds (his CW weight), Usyk loses to Joe but it's close. Joe never lands his vaunted left hook on the southpaw but amazingly out hustles OU. At 225, Usyk lands his left consistently and out boxes Joe to a decision.
Frazier was just relentless, he just kept coming at you no matter what, he wa easy to hit, but that left hook hurt everyone Usyk is good, but the great Ali couldn't take the pressure Joe gave him, Usyk goes in 6 rounds.
Usyk would win, people seem to have this myth that pressure fighters are his kryptonite but the ones he had some trouble with are all bigger then Frazier and when other fighters tried they got countered hard. I don't think Frazier has the power or physical strength to really pressure Usyk effectively when even huge heavyweights like Dubois, Joshua and Fury couldn't and Usyk has the movement and ability to keep Frazier off him and either stop him late or win a clear decision
Joe Frazier is the worst opponent for Usyk.Smokin' Joe is the greatest pressure fighter in heavyweight history, inflicting tremendous pain with his body punching and great left hook. Unless an opponent had Foremanesque punching power he will go through Hell and a very likely defeat vs Frazier.
Frazier wins as I've said before relentless elite swarmers are poison for boxers types fighters like Frazier and Tyson are bad match ups for Usyk.
Usyk isn’t stopping Frazier in any universe. We have been through this many times . Ali threw the kitchen sink at Frazier and couldn’t stop him except in Manila in a 15 rounder. Ali both has a track record of stopping more durable fighters than Usyk and was a far better combination puncher and yet Frazier kept coming forward. Usyks pitty Pat combinations when he mixes up 1 or 2 hard shots with 3 soft ones aren’t going to stop Frazier. Huge heavyweights do not have the stamina or the ability to consistently dig to the body like Frazier. They can’t sustain his work rate. They can’t cut the ring like this. Usyk had plenty of trouble with Beterbiev and he would have much more trouble with Frazier. Everytime Usyk jabs, he risks being hit with a left hook to the liver or the head. He has never faced a guy who can cut the ring like that and throw relentless left hooks. His southpaw stance actually puts him at a disadvantage.
