I just watched Usyk vs Fury 2....How do people think it was 8-4 or even 9-3?

Atrocious scoring. Even John Fury would give round 11 to Usyk, just as an example.

Round 8 was clear for Usyk as well.

You don't get points for complaining or not complaining.

You do not get points when your opponent blocks or evades your punches.

Body shots do score points. They also tend to have the effect of taking the starch out of the recipient.

A boxer taking a lot of body shots tends to tire and fade down the stretch. That's boxing wisdom for as long as there's been boxing.

Isn't that what happened to Fury in the second half of the fight? Did you notice him slowing down and being less active?

Without seeing it again i still think its up for debate after the initial viewing anyway.

Seems to me that some people are using more of an amatuer style of point scoring to come to 8-4 or 9-3 scoring.

I think scoring that as a professional contest which it was it becomes a coin toss. Usyk probably gets the nod because he outscored him in every round but a few and being the champion. But not a lot in that fight....fury could have got it imo. No bias. I like fury but i like usyk better.

No I'm using the professional way to score the fight and Usyk won in all the categories clearly that are used to score professional fights.

Why would Fury deserve the nod ? I don't get it there's no debate apart from a small minority.

    fair card imo.

tbh boxing is too subjective. It's all about what you're looking for and what the men are doing is secondary. If you like punch count and I like damage then we probably score differently even when we try to be objective. Unless someone goes down on a clean punch or some such, most rounds and most fights are eye of the beholder situations and everyone's such a megalo ***** who has to be right no one really want to admit that.

It's way easier to get in where you fit in and argue through peer pressure. Belittle those who disagree rather than even attempting to understand their perspective and blame the sport's pointing system for the inconsistency of outcomes and variety of opinions.

That other poster is stupid and these judges must be paid off ... ... ... Not this scoring criteria was poorly developed by criminals and conmen and so open, by design, to personal interpretation.

Round 11 even and round 9 for Usyk? Did you only watch the last 20s of each round? It was a clear 7-5 Usyk win, can see 8-4 but absolutely cannot see 6-6.

Perhaps you just aren't good at scoring. For instance the fact that you have round 9 to Usyk and I (someone who thought Usyk dominated) personally thought that was Fury's best or 2nd best round leads me to believe you aren't all that adept at scoring. Fury literally fought that round like an animal due to how disastrous round 9 was for him in the first fight. Fury only won 3 rounds, 4 if you really, really stretch.

I personally either had the 1st fight either a draw but it woudln't be a robbery if it went to Usyk.
In this one I had it the other way.

    Lol, 8-4 typical fanboy nonsense.

In my entirety of since Usyk came on the scene, I have only met like 2 Normal Usyk fans.

Usyk could take a breath and people give him that round.

To you this is a 15-0 fight.

If you give fury 4 and say usyk 4. Your not telling me there wasnt 4 close rounds in that fight which we,re hard to score either way.

I dont have much of a problem with the 4 points swing for usyk...but it was a close fight without much between them on the night. I can understand furys frustration even if a 4 point win for usyk was a possibility.

You seem like someone who is actually mature or atleast above the age of 20.

for me for instance it's SOME of what I'm counting for scoring.
If you throw a lot of punches, but they are blocked , but the guy lands 2 good punches, you are not winning that round in those 2 punches only. This other guy simply outpointed you

some of hte things I used scoring Usyk Fury was. Usyk's punches mainly landed on the gloves, Fury landed a lot on the gloves of Usyk took. The difference is that Usyk looked confused and was pushed back by the punches.

A lot of Usyk fans to me, leaves me really concerned , because they are unlike ANY figher fanbase I've ever seen

If you score fights the "professional way" it would be 15-0 Usyk. They added the 3 remaining rounds left in boxing and gave him the points even if it isn't in the rules anymore

I can rewatch the first round and you give me your explaination so I can see where you are coming from in terms of how you score it
