Hometown decisions are a thing in boxing.

Being able to influence who the referee and judges will be matters.

It's hard for a EE fighter to build a large fan base in the USA. A large fan base helps make lucrative fights.

It's more of an uphill climb but Usyk had obviously got to the top of the mountain.

He's definitely playing with fire at this age now. And there's nobody left worth the risk, since they're all old/shot or not the best fighters in their era. His dodgy promoter will want him to go on because he's skimming a lot of money from him and that guy gets to escape Ukraine and live the good life while Usyk is active.

Usyk will obviously still make ridiculous money, but don't see how he gets the fortune he got for Fury again. That was for the undisputed and Fury is a big name and was undefeated.

Fury caught him with some shots in the first fight that may have led to a KO if they'd come from a KO puncher. Yes, Fury is a better counterpuncher than most and that's why he could land them but others can too with a bit of luck or an error from Usyk.

What happens if Zhang or Dubious time a flush uppercut like Fury's? Or even the bodyshot? Usyk going down in my opinion, like every other HW. He's not magical. The low blow of Dubious was very close to being 'clean' and Usyk was lucky because that would have put him in trouble.

Usyk's chin/toughness is obviously good but it's not what people pretend. He got rocked multiple times by Beterbiev who is not a HW KO artist, not even a cruiser, so it's clear Usyk is counting on his defence and not being hit clean more than chin. Usyk was fully developed in that Beterbiev fight, so I don't see how he's much different now in terms of resistance.

Usyk is showing signs of being overconfident these days and that's a dangerous thing at HW particularly, when he's undersized and underpowered practically every fight. He's accustomed to going in there and outworking everyone for 12 rounds and avoiding their powershots, but it makes every fight a grind.

Other things can go wrong too besides getting nailed. Look at Haye with his achilles or Groves against Eubank where he did his shoulder. If Usyk gets injured midfight with his high intensity style, he's got little to fall back on against these massive opponents.

    He should retire.
There's nothing left to prove for Usyk. All these "possible" fights mean nothing at this stage unless he's looking to make more money.

Even though this might be a joke. I honestly don’t mind it, and will pay to watch it too.
Usyk deserves a fun payday type of fight.

He has nothing left to prove anyway.
