Is Charr not a 250lb very durable HW?

I never said he was a great fighter

The obvious point I was making was that Briedis is very explosive and hits like a freaking truck

No actual HW ever did that to Charr

The closest was Povetkin who has one of the best KO HL reels at HW in the last quarter of a century and he had serious one shot power in both hands and even then it took a brutal and sublime series of flush combinations for him to get Charr out of there

Foreman at 220 was stronger than Greedy Belly at 280.

Nobody pushed Foreman around the ring.

He’d also had 60 odd fights by then and been in a lot of wars, some of them a full 15 rounds instead of 12.

It’s just not a reasonable comparison.

Usyk dominates the 70s, prime HW boxing is 90s and 2000s. Ali and Frazier are cruiserweights by todays standards.

Was that not about the time he regained the heavyweight title defeating Leon Spinks in the rematch.

He'd be top 5 imo. I think Ali would be a horrible match up for Usyk where Ali just out hustles him.

There's not many fast and fluid heavyweights in the current division. I'm actually surprised more cruiserweights aren't making the jump to take advantage.

Usyk struggled the most with cruiserweights those were his most difficult fights.

frazier beats him the easiest due to styles. I slightly favor ali. Holmes and norton are 50-50. He beats foreman.

I disagree w/ this. Not sure Usyk isn't a lot like Lewis in that he peaked late.

Makes you wonder if there were any potential Usyk's stuck behind the iron curtain during that era.

Imagine Ali fighting a real Drago vs Rocky in Moscow sometime in the 70s.

Nobody is better physically at 37 than 27. You are not quicker or better on your feet. You may be smarter though.

Come on. Watch early in the sixties and then watch him in his mid to late thirties. He was no where near the same fighter.

There is a mythology around Ali. But he was human and was a broken man by his mid to late thirties.

Spinks was a Journeyman with a drug problem. The sixties version of Ali would beat him without taking any punishment.

It depends which Ali Usyk your fight.

If Ali is in his 20s he's just a phenomenal heavyweight with unmatched speed for the division. A tough match up for anyone.

If they fight when both are 37 or 38, Usyk takes Ali's drool cup away and beats him with it.

Broken man was undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. Frankly I need no lessons from you about the greatness of Ali. When he was past his best he still found away to destroy the unbeatable George Foreman, overcome Fraizer and was the fighter of the 70s alongside Duran. As for the 60s Ali don’t even try and debate it. Faster, stronger, better footwork and quicker than Usyk and Usyk agrees with that too.
