If a smaller SRL managed to hit and run Marvin,I'm sure SRR can do it too.

There were moments where Ray made Marvin back up.

Not really. Not past the 5th round where Marvin started to take over. Ray clearly won the first half of the fight, and Marvin started to come forward the second half landing the bigger shots as I remember

I've read Richard Steele somewhere saying Leonard was landing the harder punches.

Robbi has quicker hands and is a more vicious puncher.

Hagler would likely need to take the fight to Robbi in similar fashion to what he did to Hearns as whilst Hagler is an elite boxer, what I saw versus Duran and Leonard, in terms of mentality and what that could mean in trying to box with Robbi concerns me.

The key issue is that Robbi has genuine one punch concussive power, can set traps and fires back viciously in retaliation. Whilst Hagler isn't getting KO'd at MW IMO, that vicious power stops him from getting to the inside without paying for it, the straight right negates some of Hagler's southpaw advantages and I trust that the left hook, footwork and trapsetting finds enough success to keep Marv honest/tentative at times.

It's a close fight but I like the speed, power and footwork of Robbi and believe him durable enough, smart enough and experienced enough to deal with Hagler's pressure and skillset. I think Hagler could take 3 or 4 in a series of 10.

According to CompUBox he did. Some folks give them credence and some don't. The eye test: Hagler thought he could disregard Ray's punches. There were times he backed up.

    Hagler was a great fighter.
But he showed us against the best skilled fighters
he faced he could be taken out of his game.
He could be made to overthink, and react
instead of letting his hands go.
It happened to him very early in his career
against Watts and Monroe they got him early in his
    career.
Anterfermo got him in his 1st Championship shot
he ended up getting a draw instead of the win
against an obviously inferior opponent ,
and it was proven the 2nd time they fought.
Duran confounded and confused him for a good
    deal of their fight.
Ray Leonard did the same, got the win.
Ray Robinson would do the same.....
But, give him a second chance, and he wins
    convincingly.
Walk in punchers and brawlers, which is
the type most of the best middleweights
    in history are,
    he destroys...........

The St Valentines Massacre version of Robinson on points 9-6 or even 10-5.

I often wonder what would have happened has Tommy not broken his right in the first few seconds.
