I wonder what kind of thread it would require for Journeeyman not to find a way to **** on Liston or Foreman...

    God knows.

Even if I don't like a fighter as person I always try to be objective on their abilities in the ring.

Robinson for example, who was a totally brutal and abusive scumbag to his poor wife.

I like old George v Tyson rather than young George. Tyson v Young George would be brutal and could go either way for me.

What was the blueprint and who used it successfully against a prime, trained and motivated Tyson?

The prime Tyson was so much faster and better it is silly .. almost as silly as stamina , even.

Good comment aside from the suggestion that Holyfield was "shopworn" by the time he fought Tyson, he was absolutely prime

34 years old having been in wars with guys like Bowe, Moorer, Qawi, Mercer, Cooper, etc isn't "absolutely prime".

Eye test says otherwise, yes you can still be prime after having "wars". 34 is not old for a heavyweight (with exceptions)

Prime is usually 26-32. Holyfield was in tons of brutal wars and was past his athletic prime. People were literally asking him to retire.

Yeah he was definitely being asked to retire when he beat Tyson, went on to beat Moorer and give Lewis his toughest fights LOL. Holyfield was still at his best, he just had a slip up with Bowe due to hepatitis. Dunno who was even asking Holyfield to retire, gonna need a source on that. Was probably just because he had the financials to retire.

Before he fought Tyson there were concerns about his health due to the disaster during the 3rd Bowe fight. I noticed the instant someone mentions simple facts or alternative opinions, you immediately get snarky and shut down anything that doesn't fit your narrative so I'll leave you to your own weirdo devices.

Literally every1, he suffered a major health scare after the Moorer fight & had to undergo a battery of medical tests just to get his license reinstated.
