It was a stone cold duck. Fury and Ustinov had just done the weigh ins and the entire Fury camp was in shock at the fact that Ustinov was in good physical shape. Fury gave an interview where he said that it looked like a “stitch-up” and shortly after that he pulled out the fight.

You have to be a hardcore Fury fan to argue that wasn’t a duck.

Uncle dying in hospital and stone cold duck over… Ustinov? How much of a whopper do you have to be to write what you’ve just written

Fury has never had this "amazing defence" that some mention

He has been getting put on his arse since his channel 5 days

    Mayweather he is not

    It's a very competitive era

Not really weak in the slightest and in 10, 15 years people as always will look back on it favourably

I think during Peter Fury's era his defence was exceptional. Plenty of you tube videos of sparring partners and former opponents saying he is very hard to hit.

Getting floored by 2 people during that era suggests otherwise

Peter wasn't training him for the Pajkic fight, it was his uncle Hughie in the corner and for the Cunningham fight Peter couldn't travel. This was widely quoted as the reason for his erratic performance.

What makes me laugh is that people call Joshua, Fury, "overrated/rubbish" but then in another sentence people will claim Usyk is the "GOAT". Either Usyk is a good as you say he is based on beating good Heavyweights or he's overrated for beating "overrated Fury" you can't have it both ways.

Fury was good and would be problematic for alot of Heavyweights of the past. He's clearly past his prime as is Usyk but unlike Usyk he's not fully dedicated to the sport living the life as a professional boxer, his weight goes up and down and his overall lifestyle habits are bad it catches up to you.

So flying alone instantly makes a fighter forget all he has apparently been taught?

Not buying it, he has always been good but never a defensive wizard like some portray

He was not in the country for the 2 weeks prior to the fight or the fight itself. Knowing the type of character Peter is I would say it had a significant effect. All his other fights with Peter were a masterclass.

This is how strong the fury brigade are in their consistent aggressive tactics.
No top hw gets floored like fury, according to compubox he gets hit a lot, he takes lots of punishment in his fights. One of his biggest attributes ppl speak of is his ability to take a beating and recuperate….but they insist he is a master defensive boxer, a heavyweight sweat pea lol.
    He’s no way 6ft 9 either.

these guys just make up things n repeat it often and in every media possible, like talksport etc. until false become truth

Sounds like a poor trainer if he hasn’t drilled it into him then.

It's more aimed at his student, surely you can see that?

I like Peter, a takes no crap kinda guy but let's be honest, he hasn't done much else in the game since ("of significance)

Marshall was great but he got the Shields fight tactics horribly wrong

Fury just wasn't as good as the hype machine made out

I could see that a mile off and I'm somebody that rates him

He got placed on a pedestal he had no right being on

Peter doesn't take on fighters he only trained Savannah as a favour. I don't think Fury is an ATG by any standards but he is a very skilled heavyweight and was the best since Lewis retired until Usyk turned pro. I thought that much was fairly obvious.
