Just like your resurrection after #bangate I find myself singing "return of the butt" in the tune of "return of the mack"

 

Here's my 2¢ - as somebody that found juggling kirk's and Rummy's league a bit overwhelming years ago, then even paring down to just the latter still a bit of an unmanageable chore in the long run - twenty a month is still a tad daunting. I had to split up my picks for January into a couple of separate research sessions, just because I've never heard of so many of the combatants. And this is me we're talking about. Granted, my thumb is way less on the pulse of the sport - and particularly the UK domestic scene - than it was in days of yore, but after Inoue-Goodman there is a total of eight fights, sixteen boxers, of whom the only guys I was previously familiar with are Cruz and Pedraza.

Not meaning to yuck anybody's yum - and certainly it can be argued that learning about a new fighter from scratch is one of the perks of participating in a prediction league...but, once in a while. Having to do it upwards of a dozen times in a month and/or for a majority of what's on the list, not so fun. Just speaking from an outside perspective, guessing lots of people are like me in having been hesitant to jump in for a long time due to both the volume and obscurity in the fight lists. If you stray too far beyond just main and co-main events, maybe the occasional third-billed fight if notable (title bout, eliminator, or even just two recognizable name top 15 contenders) you risk alienating lots of people who are in that big middle zone between surface-level casual and never-miss-a-card diehard. Obviously a stacked mega card like February 22nd in Riyadh is an exception, where probably the whole thing merits inclusion - but for a random British domestic show? Probably just 1-2 fights, as opposed to 4-5, would make it less off-putting for potential new members.
