I agree with you, they both looked regressed in the rematch, although it made for another solid scrap.

I don’t want to see Usyk take a loss to any of the people he’d fight now.

 

Fury is Usyk’s son.

 

Fury goes down as the Riddick Bowe of his era. A waster who blew his legacy. He could have been a great but pissed his legacy up against a wall while in his prime after dethroning Waldo. While he was munching down on several boxes of quality street washed down with litres of whiskey the tide of Usyk was rising. That tide has dragged ‘greedy belly’ kicking and screaming to his watery grave.

Fury should push for a fight with Bakole or Dubois ... just to prove he's the 2nd best or the best, and worthy to have another shot at the belts.

 

Usyk should retire, he has nothing to prove and is visibly slower than he was a few years ago when he beat Joshua the first time.

Fury on the other hand has a lot to prove, his record is barren and history won’t judge it kindly. If he retires now he likely won’t go down as second best of this era, which is a comedown for someone that thought he was an ATG.

 

Yeh, as much as I dislike the drama-saga-ducking-stalling around his matchmaking/fight negotiations, I respect this part of his game. Great points.

 

When ur being offered sums like 30-50 million for a fight then I can see why folk don't retire!! I mean that's probably around the same figure Uysk made from his total earnings in 90% of his career.

I believe both will fight on. Fury will fight AJ and Uysk the winner of Dubois/Parker.

I hope that's their final final hurrah

Usyk has said he is fighting on. Will definitely fight the winner of Dubois-Parker, maybe Zhang-Kabeyel, and I would like to see him work in as soft defense or two--if anyone has earned it, its him, and I think his fans would like to see one where they don't have to hold their breath worrying about a bad decision.

I think he came in a little worse because they wanted him to bulk up a bit for THE SMASHING MACHINE. As a matter of fact, I expected that.

As for who is next...time will tell. People are high on Itauma, Temoana, and Jalolov, although I don't believe that Jalolov is ever going to get a pro career off the ground. I like Wardly, Torrez, and Gadzhimagomedov, although they are all flawed. Opetaia and Huni are out there. Dubois is under 30. One of these guys...or someone else...is going to blow up. The good news is that boxing is an international sport, and there is always going to be somebody.

 

I think if he gets the Joshua fight and wins--which is not guaranteed--he will be fine. Having Klitschko, Wilder and Joshua on the record with Whyte, Wallin, Chisora and Cunningham would make for a good, quality record.

But a lot of him and Joshua is going to come down to who is more damaged.

 

When I compared Fury to Bowe before his Ngannou fight I was laughed off. !!!
