I guess I could post Ward explicitly declining to fight GGG at 168 and you'd still cry about it.

Do I need a VR headset to experience the lunacy?
Ward didn't mind moving up in weight to fight undefeated reigning champion Kovalev, but will not dare to fight a plodder with zero notable wins on his record. Makes a lot of sense.

Yeah, Golovkin was KO'ing everyone and also had a good engine, so he just kept coming relentlessly.

The amount of dodging/ducking of Golovkin was obvious at the time. It was obvious even just by the words of opponents like Macklin and Murray, who mentioned that people didn't want to fight him. Then you have Golovkin's manager saying they can't make fights and people like Barker saying his manager told him to avoid it. Saunders is asking for time to age him (on camera). Canelo is delaying like crazy. And Ward and Froch were very suspicious about the fight too.
It can't all be a myth.

When you think that two of the most skilled MWs in Saunders and Canelo actually both ducked Golovkin in his prime, that's pretty amazing.

    Absolutely.

Usyk has been the b-side a d underdog almost every time he's stepped in the ring.

The few of us who predicted he'd take over the HW division were laughed at.

Usyk got some nasty body shots in AJ and Fury fights and didn't effect him a bit. Now that the "Usyk is weak to the body" myth is over, we can easily say Usyk is the most feared boxer at the moment, the man has no weak points. He will lose only to Father Time.

Usyk isn't "feared" by anyone. They know that it's an upward hill climb to outbox him but they aren't afraid of him. There were numerous fighters who feared Golovkin. There were a lot that weren't though and that should also be stated.

I don't know, y'all seem to do that based on who you like.

Usyk got fights made and was never considered a ducker because he never made it hard to get a fight made. 70/30, no problem greedy belly. Dude's a real one.

To this day we got kids arguing about was it Wilder or Joshua who ultimately ducked the 50 mil fight between them rather than the prevailing take away being both sides were too worried about their money to make a fight.

Joshua and Fury being willing to take upside down deals in their favor doesn't really speak to them not being afraid of what they signed up for.

I recall Ricky Hatton saying "can you imagine finding Golovkin in bed with your mrs, you'd tuck the C word in wouldn't you!"

GGG yeah, him and Wlad were I think the two dudes at that time where other fighters in their weight class knew they had no chance. For a brief spell at 168 Ward was in that category as well.

Usyk doesn't hit hard and is KO-able, in a weight class where everyone hits hard. With GGG you were signing up for a career beating for not even that much clout.

Golovkin was far more feared in his pomp he was dominating and knocking out fighters.

Usyk maybe the better P4P fighter as of now but that's not the question for me it's clear the knockout artist with close to 90 percent KO ratio in Golovkin was the more feared fighter.

Golovkin's career would've looked a whole lot different had he got the nod vs Canelo the 1st time. Usyk was fortunate the judges didn't rob him vs Fury that's the only difference but Golovkin was up against a fighter who is impossible to beat on the scorecards in a competitive fight.

Has Usyk ever been ducked ? I don't think so even Fury fought him eventually I do know multiple notable fighters avoided Golovkin though.
