Usyk should retire undefeated after putting all 3 kings on his resume

I personally want Usyks last fight to be deontay wilder before the turn of the era. High reward low risk. Wilder is done but he's still a well known name and one of the reigning champs of the era before Fury took him out.

You might hate Deontay but wouldn't you be interested in watching Usyk skillfully dismantle Wilder and break him down ? He's already beaten Dubois there's no point in that, unless Parker ends up winning it

Wilder did not win a single round in his last 2 fights, it would be a meaningless fight.

Would be funny if Wilder caught Usyk cold though. I think the forum would explode.

Ha! Funny indeed. What chance do you give that outcome? I think what might likely happen is wilder shoots his shot, usyk stumbles back, laughs at him and marches forward blitzing the unskilled lanky man to a conclusive stoppage.

This thread highlights how people hold so much emphasis on either an unbeaten record or holding a title rather than the records.

Fury was the top HW when he beat Wladimir, but didn't defend the titles or face any challengers at the time.
Joshua won the 3 titles Fury vacated in 3 separate title fights.

With the above I could argue a case for either being the top HW and Usyk has beaten both.

I'm really not sure why you are putting Wilder in this mix. Fury beat Wilder.
Remember when Fury wasn't active their was 3 undefeated HW champions in Joshua, Parker and Wilder.

Parker is possibly not mentioned because he lost to Joshua but would Parker not have a bigger claim to being one of the top HWs above Wilder with possibly the greater wins having beaten Zhang, Wilder, Ruiz, H Fury, Chisora, Takam?
Yet Wilder is mentioned as a king that Usyk missed?

I think he just meant Wilder being one of the “3 kings” as he was one of the 3 biggest draws in the division from 2015 to 2020 so it’s a commercially more lucrative fight than any other challenger because casuals would buy it.

No one would seriously put Wilder today above Parker or Zhang (guys he lost to) or serious contenders like Kabayel, Bakole etc

People going to act like Wilder was always a bum. Luis Ortiz was ducked by all fundamentally solid and dangerous a little old maybe but no joke no anyone in the division, Wilders toughness got him through both them bouts to prevail. Both Fury & Wilder beat each other black and blue never the same. Fury had no real business being in that 3rd fight and he won on grit alone.

Usyk won't retire because fighting anyone but Fury is going to feel like a day out at the beach for him now. His boxing brain will only have to work at 50% capacity. I just hope he doesn't underestimate the physical aspect he knows how that Duboius belly shot crippled him.

Wilder was never a great boxer but JFC he could hit hard. Personally I don't think he's been the same since the last Fury fight.

The Dosser is 1-4 in his last 5, 3 losses via KO or TKO

How many rounds did he win in those combined 5 fights? 2? 3 if we're being generous?

He doesn't deserve a goddamn crack at the Tuscaloosca HW champion, let alone at King Usyk

He's irrelevant and even when he wasn't he should've been

3 kings? The only thing Wilder's the "king" of is the all time king of can-crushers. He's a perfect example of the old adage that you can fool some of the people some of the time.

But you can't fool all of the people. It still astounds me that people believe that Wilder is some super-human puncher by knocking out a bunch of pathetic tomato cans and carefully selected glass jawed mediocrities.

Very low. But if the shot actually lands I don't see Usyk getting up, let alone laughing at him.

Fat Andy has more legitimacy to say he was a king than Wilder.............................
