He'll be 38 in a couple of weeks, he's basically fought everyone that really matters and he's made a lot of money. So wouldn't be shocked if he retires or retires at some point this year. Wins over Parker/Dubois winner or someone like Kabayel deepens his resume but really don't add a lot to it overall, compared to what he has already done.

So from your figures, he ONLY pocketed 100M-125M. That’s a lot of money to live off, especially if he invests it semi-wisely. IMO, he should retire, knowing that he beat ‘the house’ and walked away.

Foh, no one considers Wlads bum ass with his title defenses a GOAT. Usyk beats names not random bums. Sure, it would be a cute little accolade if he collected title defense wins but like I said already, he’s already arguably the GOAT and almost 40, why risk losing to age or a lucky punch? If Roy Jones retired undefeated he’d be rated way higher on ATG rankings. Idgaf what anyone says losses hurt legacies. He’d still be an ATG with a loss but not as high.

Last I checked Ali was GOAT. He has losses and nobody thinks less of him because of that.

If Usyk wants to be considered on the same level at heavyweight he needs to have more fights. You can't be GOAT at heavyweight by only fighting 5 people.

Father Time is undefeated. He's going to get Usyk if he continues to push his skill and luck vs the current day HW giants.

He’s the GOAT not GOAT at HW. You just want Parker’s bumass to have a shot.

GOAT and GOAT mean the same thing.

And yes, Parker has earned his shot.

There are clearly some who harbour the desire to see Usyk eventually beaten.

Particularly some of the more fanatical and still disgruntled Fury fans, including those who still gave Fury a chance of beating Usyk last time out.

It’s painfully obvious despite their false expressions of respect and admiration for Usyk otherwise.

Within the frame of who he has beaten, coming late to the HW division, taking on appreciably larger opposition, his age and obvious loss of a step or two, it is the perfect time for Usyk to retire.

Also, it’s not just about legacy, it’s about retaining one’s marbles and overall health - true fans of Olek would naturally want the best for him in those regards.

Usyk’s 100% spartan like commitment and consistently thorough preps to date should not be taken for granted but it seems some fans don’t fully appreciate what he has to put in.

Even despite same, the repeated commitment and prep over many years in themselves exact a heavy toll in terms of accumulated wear and tear AND Father Time = the mere aging process, has also clearly poked his head in otherwise.

I don't understand pretending that Usyks done everything he could do and hes gotten nothing to prove when his resume is so limited.

A win over Kabayel would be a very nice win. Kabayel might beat Usyk. Bad matchup for him.

Time to retire. There's literally nothing more for him to do in the sport.

I'd consider Ali to be both imo. So same thing.

I just don't get the argument as to why people want to see Usyk retire when he has a good couple of years left to give good performances.

If he's slipping and not feeling it, sure, retire. Until then keep fighting on. He's got amazing conditioning and deserves the extra pay days, and we get to see more good fights. Win win.

Why risk his health against behemoth of men? Dude already proved everything. You want Parker to catch an old slipping Usyk the way he caught Wilder and Zhang (both controversial losses).

He looked even better in the Fury rematch to be fair, and he's not exactly small anymore.

I don't expect Parker to win, but it'd be an interesting, lower risk fight for Usyk. Quit hating on Parker because he smashed your boy Wilder.
