Very interesting comment. It makes sense. Pac would be fighting the same guy(s) he fought before at a different way. I guess, if Morales was able to win the 147 title, then Pac would go up to fight him at that weight too. :yep

It makes sense in more ways than one. Arum promotes both fighters, which means more money for himself!

Chavez would outclass him before winning by late stoppage. Chavez TKO9 Pacquiao

Chavez,if you want to beat him you're gonna counter him to death, pac was a great boxer swarmer with some trapping abilities, but eh lacks the counter and the infighting game.
Chavez beats him with his craft.

I think this is the single best point in this thread.

Contrary to most other predictions, I think it could be Chavez who finds himself in a catch-22 situation here - although he was more well-rounded @130 than @ the higher weights, I don't think he was quite as skilled a boxer/counterpuncher as Marquez or Morales, but he also lacked the physical strength that would be 1 of his main attributes @ 135-140. Let's also not forget that Chavez wasn't exactly invincible @ 130 either - LaPorte fought him fairly even up over 12, & Lockridge gave him a hard battle as well, both of whom carried the fight to him.

All things considered, I'd probably give the edge to Pac here.

I forget everything, how good JCC was at what weight etc but I’m pretty sure from memory JCC was prime time 130-140lbs? I don’t think it matters much, any good version or Chavez would destroy Pac IMO, he’s just too good for Pac, too good for nearly everybody.

Pacquiao wins UD. It will be like the Meldrick Taylor fight except pacquiao will have better defense, movement, and durability. He has never been troubled by pressure fighters

Conflicted about this one, think it might be a war. 50/50 match-up?
