Donald McRae wrote one of the best books I have ever read about boxing, Dark Trade; Jack Newfield's book about Don King is up there too.

A time before social media , when real journalists went to work.

I like the Boxing News guys as well as Matt Christie, Tris Dixon and Elliot Worsell, who wrote the book about David Haye.

Will also give @Wizbit1013 recommendation Adam Catterall, a listen and follow too.

Fair point, but truthfully, I hadn't really listened to or read much about anything GAD has produced beyond the posted interview with Bosh raging at him.

I stopped listening to the vast majority of the YouTube guys a long time ago. and only follow a handful of people within the industry on Twitter, and that's more to keep abreast of what is going on and coming up.

Even Bosh Snr., I've probably spent about 30 minutes viewing his content, and that was enough, but good luck to him; if Jnr keeps winning, he could be in the jungle next year, he just isn't for me for the reasons already stated.

Catterall and Peet lost any credibility when they took the Dirty DK Probellum money.

    Not in the slightest

He talks logic mostly and isn't afraid to argue with Warren etc

For a modden day reporter he is fine

Take the money if you have to. People need to earn a living.

But you can’t bang on about corruption in boxing and appoint yourself as some sort of moral arbiter of the sport (as Catterall especially seems to have), when you were paid to be front men of what the whole world knew was a front for laundering drug money. Hypocrisy in the highest.

Only in a sport as filthy as boxing could they get out of that with no reputational damage.

Would you rather he took some money just as everyone else has and let boxing issues slide?

I say boxing issues as the dodgy money issue isn't sport related Imo, that's just a use of questionable funds passing through the sport

But then go on an angry rant about how corrupt boxing is whenever they don’t agree with a set of scorecards  should stick to MMA the set of bluffers.

He obviously does his research these days but when he first came on to the scene he was absolutely clueless about boxing and his knowledge was awful. He started a MMA podcast then added boxing on to it to increase views.

Never really took much notice of him initially

I admittedly see one of these hacks and go in to auto assume mode and believe they are all going to kiss arse

Catterall at some point got my interest
Possibly regarding Ben or the ngannou fight

he’s an obnoxious bloke and hard to listen to. Hate his voice accent combo and his face. Just find him irritating. Talks shite as well.

Whoever said Matt Christie is bang on. That’s a great shout. Boring as ****. Tris Dixon is all right he’s not a total plonker. Love how juiced up he is too and when he pretends to. Be ignorantly about stuff like testosterone. Had me laughing during his Victor conte interview on boxing life stories YouTube channel

Interesting list, social media telemarketers aside

If you asked Warren, he wouldn't hesitate in saying Joshua, Whyte, Bellew, and the Smith family; likewise, Hearn would be quick off the mark in saying Chisora Fury, and Moses.

Then they'd each do a series of 40-minute interviews with the individual social media guys, validating their points and saying the other was jealous.

This is the digital social media world we currently live in; blame reality TV and people like the Kardashians. but at the same time also be grateful for the Lindy effect.

Kugan and Parson should not be getting paid for what they do. Chancers mate. Parsons looks like he is at work experience.
