Easy win for Usyk he would make Marciano look like he never boxed a day in his life.

I can understand why Usyk is highly regarded right now, but why in gods name to people think that the fact that he is a better boxer than Marciano means that it is an easy nights work for him?

Let's not forget that Marciano made a career out of beating the best technicians of his era, and that all of them were much better boxers than him on paper.

There is a stylistic dynamic here which people, are failing to acknowledge.

Rocky should be way behind after 10-12 rounds , but If Rocky Marciano isn't stopped on cuts , and the bell rings for round 13, I like Rocky to bludgeon Usyk down..I don't think Usyk can avoid him that long and Usyk doesn't have the pop to keep him off.

Usyk staggered Joshua and Chisora, knocked Fury down, and stopped Dubois. Why does he not have pop?

Marciano. Weight, weight, weight, weight, weight. Such a tiresome factor that so commonly becomes a deciding factor for most assessments of fights.
Marciano has the measurements of a heavyweight.
    Height.................5 ft.11in.
    Weight.................190 lbs.
    Reach..................68 in.
    Chest (norm)...........39 in.
    Chest (Expaned)........42 in.
    Waist..................32 in.
    Biceps.................14 in.
    Neck...................16 3/4 in.
    Wrist..................7 1/2 in.
    Calf...................14 3/4 in.
    Ankle..................10 in.
    Thigh..................22 in.
    Fist...................11 1/2 in.
    Forearm................12 in.

Now compare these measurements to heavyweights who easily exceed 200 lbs and you'll find comparable measurements.
Marciano was strong as hell he could push 200lbs around easily, he'll wear you out and knock you out and lots of 'bigger' heavyweights would succumb to this relentless heavyweights pressure, power and tenacity. All rocky sees is a larger target. And I'm talking about Lewis, Fury, Vitali whoever you want to name Marciano is well in the fight there's no doubt about it. Big heavyweights were around all through the history of boxing and were not dominating and they still aren't or did you miss the most recent history of the heavyweight division?

That’s what they said when Charles and Moore signed for the fights.

Easier said than done, if you couldn’t get him out of there.

At first glance this seems like a completely unequal fight to me.
It would be more equal if CW Usyk fought Marciano.
    IMO

Because two past their prime lightheavy weights are totally comparable to Usyk........

I don’t know why I even bother with you.

You haven’t got the level of intellect required for any decent debate.

Usyk is 6'3 220+ pounds 78 inch reach who is a very rare elite Southpaw Heavyweight who has some of the best movement of all time and is one of the most highly skilled Heavyweights of all time.

How is that even remotely comparable to a small slugger with T-Rex arms who got decked by old Light Heavyweights ?

It's not just weight it's everything a Cruiserweight sized fighter with T-Rex arms fighting aggressively on the front foot is not a favourable stylistic match up against far bigger modern Heavyweights.

Can you imagine Marciano trying to fight on the front foot getting hit flush by a 270 pound Zhang ?

Two totally different eras Marciano wouldn't be fighting in the Heavyweight division in this era and somehow these nostalgic boxing fans can't comprehend that.

I'm just stating the facts Marciano is way too small to give any modern heavyweight problems let alone someone as good as Usyk. He only fought fighters his own size and plenty hurt him and had him down so I really don't think he would do well against modern fighters who hit way harder.

People here saying like bigger people are better but they are not as skilled and powerful.

Is Usyk more skilled than Moore or Wacott and is he harder puncher than Louis?

I don't think and Usyk chin isn't proven against someone like Joe Louis or Walcott, Fury is not a good puncher.

Also bigger doesn't mean harder puncher, Shavers and Wilder were both light by today standards but boy they could punch.

If we would be talking about Lewis, Holmes or Ali I would understand but not Usyk who is not near their caliber.

Faster and bigger is a combination that usually enough for me. Usyk is both faster and bigger than Marciano. He's in Marciano's class as a fighter, too. The cause for hesitation is that Marciano was about as proven against cruiserweight boxers as any man in history, forced to run the gauntlet of Walcott and Charles twice each, that's ****ing nuts. Usyk has such a good chin though.

He's the right pick in this instance. One thing though - people need to remember how much bigger Usyk is. He's five inches taller, ten inches rangier, forty pounds heavier. Its not a fair fight, there are two weight classes between these two men, at least.

The technicians he beat were all shopworn and/or old. They also weren't the size of Usyk. I'm assuming we are taking the spryest version of Olexandr and some future decrepit version with 100 fights.

Depends Usyk is very skilled despite being a decent sized heavyweight more skilled then many past heavyweight greats who were smaller then him.

Arguably, def at least on the same level as those two and keep in mind both were past their best when they fought Marcanio and were small heavyweights (both having their most success at light heavyweight). While he's not a harder puncher he punches decently well and has hurt huge heavyweights like Fury and Joshua which is more then enough to hurt Marciano who while having a good chin was hurt by smaller punchers.
How is not proven Usyk has taken punchers from superheavyweight and has never been knocked down Marcanio got knocked down by lightheavyweights... I'm sorry but Usyks chin was way more proven then Marcanio especially against super heavyweights.

Usyk is 100% on their caliber in terms of skill
