Filip Hrgovic the new David Price?

Could Filip run 15m of pvc pipe at a 1 to 40 fall into a detention vault past existing utilities?

Yep. He's got a much better chin than Price.

He's limited though. He's got a good right hand but suspect defense and stamina.

 

Tony Yoka is the new Price, just with a better chin.

 

I suppose the door is open for Hrgovic to step through and be the new Price but as of right now,,,No.

 

What a dumb question. They are nothing alike.

 

He doesn't have the power of Price. Who badly hurt everyone he landed on until the last cashouts. People like to mock Price's vulnerability but the reality is that if he'd landed on Dubious like Croatian, he would have left Dubious splattered on the canvas.

Price's chin isn't as bad as people claim, it's become a myth really. He mainly just gassed and got overcome. For instance, the Thompson stoppages were a weird ear shot that didn't actually concuss him and he was lucid pretty quickly afterwards and an attrition stoppage where Thompson landed a lot of shots unanswered and didn't even drop him. Hammer stoppage was like the second Thompson one.
The Kuzmin fight wasn't a stoppage, Price pulled out in the corner from injury.
I didn't watch the Chisora one but Price was disinterested and underprepared by then.
The big KO's were from Teper who was roiding big time and Povetkin who dropped him earlier then landed two bombs on his jaw, it's not like Povetkin hasn't done that to tough guys.

Sure, Price isn't the toughest to stop but I'd say Whyte has worse stoppage losses, one-punched by old Povetkin and then by Fury of all people.

Whatever Price's flaws, he KO'd AJ in sparring and that's more than Croatian has done for us. Croatian still has time to redeem himself in a Dubious rematch or even get an AJ fight if AJ wants to carry on.

 

He does seem like a big stiff idiot.

 

Hrg displayed a far better chin than AJ and Price v Dubois.

 

Skill wise they are similar but chin wise worlds apart, both vastly overrated at certain points of their careers though, however even though I don`t think Hrg actuaslly beat Zhang, Price would have been sparked by Zhang in the 1st round, Price was only ever really a domestic level fighter.

 

Pretty much opposite fighters.

Price was game and could be explosive but also had a chin made of paper mache. The epitome of a glass cannon.

Hrgovic fights as if he's half asleep and would rather be anywhere but in the ring - but does have an iron chin.


Prigovic would have been an awesome fighter.

Price was a 10/10 in terms of power and a 6/10 in terms of durability.

Hrgovic has a 10/10 chin and a 8/10 power.
