Geez dude.... You have just diminished Floyd's, Mosley's and Trinidad's victory over Oscar. You either lack knowledge or are just a flat out troll. Eh, more than likely both..
@bandeedo you are very knowledgeable about boxing of that there is no doubt having read your posts now over many years. However this assumption that Oscar will just have his way with Tank is way off. The eye test alone shows us Tank not just winning his fights but dominating with devastating knockouts. The closest stylistically to Oscar is Ryan Garcia. Not saying Garcia is as good as Oscar but you saw how Tank outclassed him. Many on here simply hate Tank instead of evaluating the stylistic match up between these 2. I don’t see Oscar beating Tank at 130 or 135 pounds. His best chance will be upwards of 140 pounds because we have not seen Tank upwards of 140 pounds. Oscar was a great fighter and popular but let’s get it right he had holes in his game though very talented. I know enough to say that if this match up happened in reality it would be different than many on here presume as Tank is special. People make assessments not on the merits but on sentiment. Unfortunately the truth is we shall never know for sure the outcome but the BS about Tank not facing the best is just that BS. The massacre of Garcia who subsequently destroyed Haney who had been the undisputed champion proves. If people are honest they realise Tank would beat up Haney, Loma and Teo and it’s not difficult to envisage Tank stopping Shakur.
Not at all I just believe Tank would beat Oscar who is beatable. Oscar is not the best victory of these legends.
That is your view. Taking the belts of different title holders at 130 pounds made him the best. The victory over Ryan Garcia and Garcia’s domination of Haney who had been undisputed champion proves he is the top dog at LW and Lightweight. That is my view and opinion and you cannot change my mind.
i like tank, he is very skilled and exciting to watch. but the man can't even claim to be the best at his ONLY weight in his era. Oscar dominated champions across multiple weights. Tank looks great against the carl griffiths and the john avilas of the lightweight division, but he skirted the rafael ruelas' and the genaro hernandez' of the lightweights. oscar didn't, he showed he was far better than all of them. for a guy with his hype and years in the sport, his resume is crap. he barely beat a pitbull cruz that just got schooled by an unknown in comparison to tank. im not hating on tank, i give him whats his. he just doesnt own a whole lot.
If Tank can beat Oscar prime for prime the TBE is Pitbull Cruz because he beat up Tank but won beause he was gifted the win by the american jusges.
Tank is little better than Wilder. Wilder could have stayed undefeated in his career if he avoided the top fighters in his division.
No it is your view, not mine. You don't believe he's ever once faced the number 1 fighter in any of his divisions. Plus he only took one trinket off a man at SFW and that was Pedraza who was not very well regarded by you at the time of the fight and by the media he was ranked outside of the top 5.
You just called Shane Mosley and Trinidad legends. Who did they beat, that is better than Oscar, to make them legends?
You can only beat what is put before you. I do know that what he did to Garcia and a truly great fighter like Leo Santa Cruz cannot be sniffed at and no one else has done that to them. I know you are not hating on Tank but you must admit many on here are.
Oh please I am not letting you take me down that road. Thanks but no thanks. Their records and accomplishments make them legends. If you don’t understand they are legends then that’s on you.
The media boy you are pitiful. One of these days I pray you are able to think for yourself. Having a brain is a good thing.
What was witnessed by more than half was that, it was the other way around, that is, Tank was outboxed by Pitbalull and invented a broken hand excuse for his obvious lose. But thanks to the american judges he still have an unblemished record. He was protected by the american judges. But If we put the same fight in Pitbull's backyard I doubt that he would still undefeated.
