Yeah Floyd fought at the 106 golden gloves when he was a teenager as well.

Like I said atleast you admit you aren't fair when comparing them. Most people pretend they're being objective when they aren't. So fair play to you.

Floyd as an amateur at similar aged not much more than flyweight

Canelo had a higher weight advantage over Floyd, than cotto had over pacquiao. Manny being a malnourished kid isn't a point

Doesn't matter, they were both flyweights as teenagers, both welterweights as full grown men.

Manny did a worse catchweight against a worse opponent at LMW.

You've already owned up to your biases on this thread so there's little point continuing.

    I just think it's mental.

Agreed. It’s a huge win that is often swept under the rug

Well maybe stop following the Bible of Mayweather lol.

You've already admitted you're biased anyway.

Floyd had already fought de la Hoya and Cotto at 154, so challenging a still-greenish Clenelo and demanding a catchweight does take some of the luster off an otherwise master class, and Floyd has nobody but himself to blame.
And yes, there’s some hypocrisy with Manny’s fans wanting to ignore the catchweights with Cotto and Margarito, but given that Manny wasn’t billing himself as greater than Ali, SRL and SRR, and that Manny had turned pro at 112lbs, and had a blistering offensive style that battered Miguel and Antonio into submission, he understandably receives a bit of a pass.

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Are you saying that both Floyd and Manny weighed the same as teenagers and as grown men? Then why did Floyd demand steroid testing for their fight, claiming that nobody could climb through weight classes like that without “having that sh!t in him”?

It literally comes from Manny not having a problem with catchweight fights and Floyd making a big stink about it

Yes they both weighed similar throughout their lives.

Floyd demanded drug testing, do you believe this was a good requirement to put into fight contracts or a bad thing?
