Richard Torrez Jr how good is he?

12 wins 11 stoppages. Also every opponent he has been fighting so far had a winning record. He fights 4 times a year.

Seems like America’s best prospect on paper.

Ortiz or Lopez will have him. I don't know who they are but they are surnames that may very well have him, historically speaking. Or Johnson. These are all very, VERY likely names who will beat him, relative to other surnames.

A fight with Huni would be great in my opinion.

I am thinking a tournament between Torrez, Huni, Itauma, and a few others would be great. Like a Super 6.

Or them 3 and 3 washed veterans. And have them all fight each other.

He doesn't have the makings of a varsity athlete

I honestly think he might be better than Itauma, but doesn't get anywhere near as much hype.

Has a much higher ranking, and is a lot more experienced especially in bad and new situations with a strong amateur pedigree, plus has a very nice punch arsenal.

On the other hand his defence is nearly non existant and I don't think this will bring him far in the HW division...

But indeed nice punch arsenal and throwing beautiful combo when on the attack!

Fun fighter destined to be in a couple of wars and, win or lose, will fall quickly once his chin is cracked.

Would guess he makes it to top 10-15 level in the world and gets cashed out before getting exposed. They had better match him carefully and avoid the boring boxer types.

Don’t think he’s that good. Got brutally knocked out by Jalolov, went 8 rounds with Curtis Harper who got KOd quick by almost everyone.

I used to think he was mediocre because of Jalolov til I started watching full fights

He's the real deal imo. Short pressure fighting southpaw with volume, lots of feints, hard to break his rhythm, decent power, keeps his hands up more than most but is still susceptible to counter punchers. His stamina has me convinced tho, he'll suprise a lot of people

I think he needs more time, and a lot more experience. From what I have seen, he has come along quite nicely.

he needs work, but he has lots to work with. i would like to see him take a more methodical approach to fighting. he seems a bit frenetic, and not in a good way. but i really havent seen a whole lot of him.
although, i see enough in him to have said i liked his chances against fury. i think i mentioned it in a post somewhere. not because hes that good, but i think that style has a good chance at getting at fury. if i was his dad i would let a top trainer take over. he could have success, enough to not have to worry about money. he just needs someone to polish him up nice and shiny.

Jalolov is also 2x Gold medalist in Olympics among other championships, it’s no shame in losing against him, especially as an amateur.

    Edit: I read a little more about Jalolov, he’s 6’7 and 14-0 with 14ko as a pro.
