The version we saw of him against Usyk is the best version since Wlad. Why do you think he said this long ago? This was before Usyk had even become HW world champion and he said he still wanted nothing to do with him even if Usyk beat AJ (aka the biggest star in British boxing and the 2nd biggest in the world at the time) and became the three-belt unified king? This content is protected Look, straight from the horse's mouth. You can clearly see he's deeply concerned about ever having to step in a ring with Uysk. Scared even This content is protected You know why? Because he knows his boxing, isn't an idiot and he knew how good Usyk was even then You think his excuse about Usyk being a ''foreigner'' holds up? Hmm.. when he said that these were 6 of his last 7 opponents: Hammer, Wlad, Seferi, Pianeta, Schwarz, Wallin That's why he shamelessly ducked Usyk, put roadblock after roadblock in the way to prevent the fight from happening and stipulation after stipulation, all of which much to his surprise and chagrin Usyk accepted when no one else in his position would of, and tried to age Usyk out and it literally took Usyk being 37, all the money in Saudi, a highly disrespectful, unfair and insulting purse split in his favour, and the ridicule of he entire boxing world to finally prise him out of the coop Now compare his extreme reluctance of fighting Usyk even just once in his own country on a deck heavily stacked in his favour to his giddy willingness to fighting The Dosser x 3 in The Dosser's country? Hell, he was more keen on facing The Dosser for a 4th time than he was of facing Usyk even once. There's a reason why that is. Because he knew The Dosser was and always was a easy to out box no skill one-dimensional manufactured can-crushing hype job who can't box to save his life and who was was a product of the PBC/Showtime smoke and mirrors hype machine. Why the hell do you think he was so willing to fight The Dosser the first time when he had no right being in a ring with any top 20 HW after that long layoff, not having fought anyone with a pulse in 3 or 4 years or however long it was, and abusing his body like that? It doesn't take a genius to join the dots But the best Belly was vs The Dosser II. You stick that version in with Usyk, and even worse for him, the Usyk of back then too, and Usyk beats his ass even more decisively than he did. Usyk is on a completely different stratosphere to The Dosser for goodness sake. Of course Belly is going to look a million dollars vs a no skill easy to hit can-crushing hype job who is tailor-made for him and can't box to save his life like The Dosser if Belly is in any kind of shape. Belly is an excellent fighter and one who, despite his appearance, is very physically gifted and skilled but The Dosser was tailor-made for him. The Dosser has no skills, feasted on fighters with no or very little skills. Hence why he and his fans had to make such a big song and dance about him beating Ortiz who did actually have skills. Ortiz's best win still to this day is either Jennings of Charles Martin. Not to mention that his head is and always was a magnet for right hands and he had barely fought any punchers going in.
I guess the idea of an "easy win" over the body builder for an easy $20+ mill is too much for him. Anyway, if he retires, at least he was entertaining even when being an annoying cuss.
Turned out to be 3rd out of the lot of this generation heavies takeaway the wlad win he literally beat no other top 10 heavy but somehow people thought he was number 1 guy conned the world going life and death with wilder
Must be, because Aj has bottled the rematch and Dubois is on a tear right now Fury may be afraid of Aj, but I KNOW Aj is afraid of Daniel
Good. He's obviously been struggling to find form for a while. He has more than enough money. I hope he stays retired, and enjoys his kids and life.
I think its a good time to walk away. I'd still like to see him fight Joshua but that one is 4 years too late so whatever. Eddie Hearn has to learn from his mistakes here because he's left so much money on the table by failing to make Joshua V Wilder and Joshua V Fury.
If he truly does retire then that’s his decision and I respect it,however I do feel the lure of the ring will bring him back in a year or two. Fury is certainly on the decline due to his lifestyle and surgeries and this was evident for everybody to see in the Ngannou fight yet Fury managed to raise his game for both the Usyk fights and did give a good showing of himself despite losing both fights. Now for those casuals calling Fury a coward and saying he’s afraid to fight Joshua, let’s not forget Fury won his World honours on the road with no home comforts, defeating two long standing Champions. I hope Fury does retire even just to ruin Hearn and Joshua’s big plans of this mega money fight with Fury in a last roll of the dice which has always been there plan .Hearn and Joshua still have the Wilder fight with plenty of people still wanting to see that fight and it would make big money .
LOL I remember there was a poster who melted down after I said that I thought Povetkin would beat Ortiz
