IF Fury retires ... will you miss him?

People on here claim to miss Wlad lol. By comparison there was never a dull moment with Fury, he'll be missed.

 

There are parts of him I liked but he is boorish.

 

I want to see him against AJ.

If he wins, I'll keep watching. If he loses, he can go away and I won't miss him.

 

We miss Wlad because he was the definition of the champion cleaning out the division and never ducking anyone. I don't think we miss him because of his cracking personality.

When he was more closely anchored to reality and not talking edged abuse and utter rubbish otherwise, he was compelling.

He could be very witty and genuine at times.

Love him, hate him or in between, he did lift the game in many ways, in other many ways, not so much.

I think others have said this pretty much already.

 

Not at all pretty much held up the division with all his bs and not really wanting to fight the best he was pretty much paid to fight usyk let's be real Turk money was too much to turn down especially after the embarrassment he endured after the nganou fight

Yes and no. I loved watching his fights up until the 3rd Wilder fight but after that he was never really the same in or out of the ring.

 

quite the opposite, wish he would have disappeared 7 years ago. After doping for the wlad fight then weaseling out of the rematch he did nothing but hold up the division by fighting scrubs. then a trilogy with a one handed bum who almost knocked his head off. i would have preferred the division had been spared the entire gypsy king clown show.

 

He complained about the Klitschko boredom, and what we got was certainly not an improvement on it in his title winning or defending efforts, save what someone else did TO HIM. And then with a lot of fat, inactivity, and garbage rematches added on top. I wish him the best. Very good fighter when he bothers to be, and I've liked him at times. I won't miss his reign at all. He was a character, but not one of the better champs, not a fave to watch, and just not very committed to being the best he could be. That is something I cannot say about either Klit or Lennox, overall. It is something I cannot say about AJ or Usyk either, frankly.

 

Too inactive in the ring and too active on media. Too much dragging things out, trying to be a victim and get pity, and un champion like behaviour.
Became a world champ about 10years ago and only actually defended 3 times. That’s ridiculous!

 

This era has been defined by Fury, AJ, Wilder, and Usyk. They each have their own positives and negatives, but I will be sad to see each of them go. Hell, i'm already sad for Wilder, given his last two fights.

 

In fairness, and to build on my previous comment, I won’t miss him exactly and I think it time he moved on. But I do respect what he accomplished. He’s not an ATG but his career is to be congratulated.

 

Not really because peak Fury in the ring ended after he took brutal punishment in Wilder 3

He’s given the best performances he could possibly give already, and he had a good go at Usyk twice to his credit.

There aren’t many interesting fights left for him, just a 5-years-too-late Battle of Britain vs AJ which probably just ends with Fury outboxing AJ as it always would have done.

I don’t believe Fury is truly retired as he’s full of **** 95% of the time but if he truly never fights again, it’s for the best.
