Beat more ranked fighters and historically great fighters along with more world title wins Pretty simple argument really.
He can't be an ATG with 7 fights vs 5 opponents, the body of work is simply not there. As for H2H' I have no idea how narrowing outpointing Fury and AJ (both damaged goods) has proven him to be top 10 H2H? Both AJ and Fury and huge slow Hw's which played to Usyks strengths, there are so many fighters in history which a smaller, more mobile and skilled that those opponents that Usyk would struggle against, heck he struggled against an old Chisora. A top 10 h2h fighter should be walking through the likes of Chisora at least and completely dominating the likes of AJ. The recency bias around Usyk if off the charts. I think he struggles to beat Parker.
The Klitschkos had over 100 wins at HW between them, over dozens of top 10 opponents with dozens of title defenses. How is that comparable to 7 fights at HW?
Yet he didn't struggle in Cruiserweight against smaller, more mobile and skilled fighters so................
In one fight and he still clearly won rest of his fights and no Breidis did not arguably beat him was a close fight but clear win rest of his wins were pretty dominant. He's had more hard fights in heavyweight overall.
Bellew was giving him a tough fight before he was stopped, it was even on the cards. You are acting like he dominated every opponent, just not true. I get it everyone is high on Usyk but you can't ignore the dozens of fighters who have put in years and years of work and fought dozens of tough opponents over the years, and let Usyk skip them because he became undisputed. There are numerous undisputed champions who are not even hall of famers but apparently Usyk is division top 10 ATG because of it. You saw him struggle vs a gate keeper, imagine a decade of fighting opponents better than that, and winning. That is what the so many other HW's have done in history.
Who are you calling a casual? I have forgotten more about boxing than you will ever know. When your elders and betters are speaking listen and learn idiot.
You mean the prime version of Briedis in his backyard who when old and well past and ill, and ancient and way his best and inactive not having fought in 2 years in the rematch, took the curerent best CW to hell and back twice, the first time in their backyard, smashed his jaw to bits, hurt him badly, and would've knocked his ass out x 2 had he just started a round or two earlier? That Briedis? Prime active Briedis couldn't put a dent in Usyk
While Bellew had his moments, Usyk never lost control of the fight. He was constantly pressuring Bellew, dictating the pace, and forcing his style, which ultimately led to the knockout. My point is that his tougher challenges came at heavyweight against significantly bigger opponents, not at cruiserweight where fighters were his size. As for 'skipping' fighters, it’s because he’s simply better than them. He proved this by becoming the undisputed champion at cruiserweight and then moving up to heavyweight, where he beat Joshua twice and Fury twice, something very few fighters could accomplish. Saying he struggled against Chisora is misleading; Usyk looked slightly awkward initially due to the weight difference and Chisora’s rough, physical style, but he adjusted quickly and won decisively. Objectively, it’s hard to give Chisora more than three rounds in that fight.
AJ has been destroyed twice, yet Usyk out pointing him twice in competitive fights demonstrates ATG status? Fury arguably lost to an MMA fighter in his pro boxing debut less than 12 months before Usyk edged him out on points, yet that is ATG status achievements? These wins have not aged well. Secondly you seem to be talking about general ATG status when you reference his cruiserweight, career but this thread is strictly about HW ATG status, which means accomplishments at HW. I think you can argue ATG in general but not at HW.
