Will this be an effective punch vs Canelo from the southpaw stance?

Which will have zero effect on an iron chinned Super Middleweight brick ****house. That will be Canelo's very own GGG walking through his overhand right bomb moment, followed by Bud with fear in his eyes, defecating himself.

Canelo isn't getting hit with that punch, and if Crawford happens to land that type of shot, it won't do a damn thing to Canelo. His neck is conditioned to take those type of punches, he eats right hooks like he does MnMs.

Canelo has an ATG chin. Crawford is not an ATG puncher and especially not at 168. Crawford won't be able to hurt Canelo no matter what or where he lands.

Effective in gaining some respect from Canelo? Sure. Effective in hurting him? Doubtful. It’s hard for bigger stronger guys to hurt Canelo, and Bud will be neither.

might he be able to outbox Canelo? Possibly. Bud’s great, not like he can be counted out. But I can’t imagine him knocking out Canelo.

I agree. I think Bud is smart enough to know he's not knocking Canelo out. So, He won't be surprised when he catches Canelo with a bomb that has no effect. If fans know the only way is to outbox Canelo, rest assured, Bud knows that too.

The best right hook I've seen recently was when Zhang knocked out Joyce in the rematch. Probably the best hook I've seen in the southpaw stance. Crawford has a good hook himself but I don't think he possesses that kind of power to give Canelo something to think about. Crawford's only chance is to outbox him.

I don’t know why ppl what to see this fight or why it’s even talked about. Crawford is great, don’t get me wrong but his weight is 147 and didn’t look too impressive at 154. Canelo have been very impressive at 168 and didn’t look too bad at 175. The size difference is too big.

Canelo vs Crawford is not interesting to me at all. I want to see Canelo against the winner of Benavides vs Morrell 100x more!

If Golovkin couldn't crack Canelo's chin in 3 fights then trying to should not be part of Bud's plan.
His only chance is to outbox Alvarez with faster feet, faster hands and disciplined defense.
He could outbox him like Floyd did but I believe Canelo has a higher ring IQ than he did when he fought Floyd.
As great as he is, Canelo is perhaps a step to far.

Canelo/Benevidez and Crawford/Ennis makes more sense.

It´s the kind of punch that will only work once on Canelo. The second time it should land, it will be answered with a counter.

Bud is more skilled than Canelo though.

Canelo has never beat a fighter as skilled as Bud though.

    That can go both ways.
