You're a good poster, but I don't think Bud is the Goat or close, but it is your opinion

He does have a chance of surpassing usyk I will say that, but right now I have usyk a head

None of those guys he beat were great.

So whilst the official accolades would look amazing on paper, his overall resume would still be miles behind many other greats of the past.

You really need to take a step back and apply the relevant context what is needed.

I think hed be ahead of Mayweather and Pacquiao based on weight classes and the way he dominated his opponents. I agree that strictly resume wise based off names it wouldnt be but I dont only go off of names

    Spence was definitely great

    Revisionist history saying otherwise.

He still wouldn’t have done anywhere near enough to be considered that high.

    But look at his opposition.

    That’s the point.

One of my favourite fighters is Mike McCallum.

    A genius.

    A true old school technician.

    Look at his wins:

    Ayub Kalule
    Donald Curry
    Julian Jackson
    Steve Collins
    Michael Watson
    Herol Graham
    Sumbu Kalambay
A disputed draw against James Toney

That resume is levels above Crawford’s.

Yet Mike can’t make an average top 30 ATG list.

You are massively overrating Crawford and his resume.

So on what planet could that give him the best resume of all time?

    Stop being ridiculous.

What you have seen, doesn’t = the entire history of the sport.

How could he possibly have the best resume in history?

Canelo would be a monster win, but then he’d still be left with mostly B to C level wins.

    Spence isn’t an ATG.

He wasn’t in his prime either.

You need wins over prime greats to be considered the GOAT, throughout the entire history of the sport.

Surely you now realise that you’ve got carried away and have exaggerated things.

Being the goat isnt only about resume

No Mccalums resume is not above Terence Crawford. McCallum was a great fighter and an ATG 154 pounder but he did not separate himself from his opposition the way Crawford did.

Yes Crawfords resume is thin (due to unfortunate circumstances) but hes dominated and exceeded expectations time and time again

Resume isn't everything. Roy Jones Jr is considered to be an ATG and by some people, even the best ever (not me) and he didnt have the deepest most thorough resume.

    It is the truth
A lot of these older fighters were able to rack up wins, titles and many Kos because of the times they were in. Boxers fight twice a year now (sometimes once) and the opposition is stronger on average. This is reality

I didnt say ATG and Mayweather has no wins over any ATG in their primes and is considered by many as the goat

Same as Roy Jones (no James Toney is not an ATG and Bernard Hopkins was not in prime)

How many wins does Pacquiao have vs all time greats (no Morales, Marquez and Barrera arent all time great. Just in era greats)

    Pernell Whitaker also has none

Even Sugar Ray Leonards wins over Duran (came at WW when Durans best weight was Lightweight), Hagler (past prime), Hearns (arguably green and peaked at 154 not 147) werent ATG in their primes.

This criteria is bogus and only used to discredit current fighters

As a hardcore boxing fan I would love to see it
