Wlad would present specific style issues that Ali always struggled with i.e Jab and left hook as well as being taller, longer reach, pretty good footwork and one of the best distance control games in the sport. Wouldn't be an easy match for Ali at all

An extremely confident and aggressive Wlad could have caused him issues for sure.

But the man had huge confidence issues.

    There were two Wlad’s:

    1. A young, very offensive Wlad, who was very dangerous, but also very vulnerable.

    2. A matured version of Wlad, who was very cautious, due to him being psychologically scarred from his previous knockouts.

Tyson Fury did a complete psyche job on him, both in and out of the ring.

    Out of the ring:

He told Wlad he that was an old man who way going grey. Wlad then immediately shaved his hair for the first time in years.

He also made Wlad lose his temper and uncharacteristically swear.

    In the ring:

Wlad bought every feint, and was extremely cautious to let his hands go.

So think about the great man.

The man who crashed Liston’s training camps, and who psyched out a prime George Foreman.

Ali would have had a HUGE psychological advantage going into the fight.

He would also have had a huge speed advantage.

Plus a much better chin, and a much bigger heart.

I mean that was an old gunshy Wlad and I think by the end he seemed to have had more success against Fury there's a reason Wlad really wanted that rematch and Fury ****ed it. Also remember Haye tried the same thing and it didn't really work so who knows....... But stylistically I think Wlad could give Ali trouble

But it wasn’t an old gun shy Wlad was it.

Because 18 months LATER, he was happy to have a shootout with Anthony Joshua.

    He wasn’t gun shy.

It was SPECIFICALLY Tyson who made him gun shy.

I wasn't even on about you in all honesty I was referring to someone else.

And just to add I'm 25 years old I hardly look at things with rose tinted glasses lol I just base things on how fighters match up stylistically.

Seems a bit unfair to compare Wlad at his worst to Ali at his best especially since Ali declined much more then Wlad did when they both got old

    I’m not doing that.

    That is just an example.

But I’m looking at them both from a psychological standpoint.

Again, Ali would have had a huge psychological advantage.

Honestly--IMHO the version of Ali that fought Zora Folley in 1967 would defeat Usyk 11 out of 10 times!!

Mentally, we obviously have a few 10 year olds here.

    We know who they are.
