I find it interesting that it’s common for people to credit Fury with beating Wilder in the first fight, but don’t credit him with losses to John McDermott and Ngannou.

You are acting as if a 39 year old Wlad was in his prime. He wasn't and he had big trouble outside of the ring during that fight. Fury also popped dirty. I detect a hint of projection when I hear the fighter/sport line. People actually think through logic that Fury is better than Muhammad Ali! Francis Ngannou blew the Fury myth wide open. As did Wilder when Fury was in his best ever condition. Also that Wlad showed up big style for the Joshua fight. He only came alive in the last round for Fury and even then Fury was struggling.

AJ offered Wilder FIFTY MILLION. Wilder declined. AJ beat everyone else out there other than Usyk. Wilder since has been pinged about by Joseph Parker! Fury has ducked Joshua for years and all. Who does Fury have since 2016 on his resume? Wilder? Whyte? Del? Superb resume, said nobody ever.

Does any version of Fury lose to Ruiz? No. Does a motivated Fury lose to Dubois? Again, no.

There you go. Losses matter when we discuss these things

Cope wouldn't apply there since you asked a question and I answered it.

I don't care who liked it and how it's rated.

I read all the books so that show is only a tiny part of my star wars experience.

The version of Fury that fought Ngannou 100% loses to the version of Ruiz that beat Joshua.

(You did say "any" version of Fury).

    Realistically no, probably not.

Absolutely losses matter - everything matters... If anything matters the most, it's context.

Joshua has the better overall depth and quality in the wins column... He also has the worst of the official losses column - but then Fury also has some embarrassing performances that easily could've gone down as losses.

Yes, several versions do. Fury is nothing special outside his self exaggerated height.

I never get why Joshua's resume of forty year olds gets praised so much.

I'm not saying Fury has a good resume either but a guy on Reddit the other day was praising Joshua's resume and snuck Takam in there as one of the notable names.

Neither have a particularly good resume.
