Future repercussions are completely pointless imo. The guy has already made his money and boxing fans will never forget his run. Shouldn’t the whole point of drug testing be to prevent juiced up guys from hurting someone? No one could care less if they delete Povetkin’s record when he’s already irrelevant in the boxing world.

It´s the reality of the situation - you can´t always detect everything, mainly because the detection methods are playing catchup with the cheaters.
So yes, it´s a good and worthy idea to retroactively test samples when new testing methods are developed.

So they're gonna "no contest" like 15 of his fights?

That's how I read it, that's pretty unheard of :dunno

He got run out of the sport after the Wladimir fight and then came back in 2018 with a personality change

The IBA is going to no-contest 15 fights. Again, I have seen no evidence that anyone else cares, or even knows.

That'll just go down in history as a little 'dust-up' at Eddie's backyard barbecue. ;)

    I guess it is fitting.

Povetkin won an Olympic gold medal for not fighting anyone. (His opponent in the final was too injured to compete and didn't show up.)

Twice, while IBF mandatory, Povetkin faked injuries (according to his trainer at the time) to get out of a title fight with Wlad Klitschko.

When Wlad, who Povetkin didn't want to fight twice, unified three belts against David Haye, the WBA made Wlad a 'super' champ and then created a fake "WBA Regular" title, to get more sanctioning fees.

Povetkin happily accepted a vacant title fight for the made-up "Regular" title, which he won to become the first fake Regular champ.

When the WBA insisted he fight Wlad or be stripped of his pretend belt, Povetkin finally accepted and was dominated.

Then the doughy Povetkin disappeared, came back juiced to the gills, trim, with muscles, failed his drug test for Takam ... was made the mandatory for Wilder ... failed his drug test for Wilder ... was given yet another chance by the WBC, was scheduled to fight an eliminator with Stiverne ... and Povetkin failed his drug test again.

He ended his career winning another made-up belt, this time an interim belt, in Eddie Hearn's backyard, with nobody there.

And now his last dozen fights all disappear, too, since he was a confirmed juicer for, at minimum, three of those proposed bouts - Takam, Wilder and Stiverne.

So, I guess they can turn off the fake crowd noise and take down the cardboard cutouts of fans for good.

The guy who never actually beat anyone for gold and never actually won anything real in the pro ring, ends his career with a full-third his fights vanishing from the record books.

   .

And yet the "fat blob" beat a young, prime, Ex WBO world champion in Joseph Parker, who had SIXTEEN YEARS more boxing experience and was the younger fresher man.

The "Fat blob" whyte should have been blown out by round one surely???? It shouldnt have been even remotely competitive if Whyte was such a useless "fat blob". Parker should not have had to worry about anything even if the referee was supposedly helping Whyte (which im not saying was the case) still Parker should have won with EASE.

    And yet....

No, No.... the only fat blob here is you. We can add cowardly to that, because you would pee your menstrual pad if you ever DARED to call whyte a fat blob in real life. You're a Keyboard Warrior. A Basement Dweller. A wannabe Billy Bollocks.

You would get the back hand, and your surviving beer-stained Umbro poloshirt would be all your family members would have to remember you by. Especially the extra loose area around the belly part where your pot belly used to go.

Headbutt counted as a knockdown. Otherwise Whyte loses his one good win.

Even with 25 Headbutt knockdowns, it should have been an easy win for ex WBO world champion Joseph Parker, who beat Ruiz the guy who smashed Joshua.

The "useless fat blob" you make Dillian out to be, should never have stood a chance against Parker, who even today still competes at the highest level.

Sit down child, you're throwing a tantrum because I called a fat blob a fat blob.

When Whyte popped dirty how long did you leave the forums for? Or wait, was that when a covid having forty year old obliterated Whytes chin?

Stop having an emotional reaction to everything. It's embarrassing.

Keyboard warrior, no boxing knowledge and let's also add Dementia to your resume.

Whyte was KOd by a NON covid ridden Povetkin. Go back and check the records grandpa.

Secondly, wasn't povetkin just found to be on peds from 2014 onwards? Did you get that memo??? They practically overturned all his results during that period. So there's that.

Anyway's now that we've established you're senile, we're all dying to see you walk up to Whyte and call him a "useless fat blob".

I cannot wait to see that one, just let me get my KFC order in first.
