Turns out the cards were far too extreme in favour of Olivo, so it's probably lucky the maybe soft stoppage came. Even a 10-7 wouldn't have swung it.

 

If he wanted to quit he would have stood down. If he could not continue he would have not moved towards the ref.

Imagine an english fighter going to Japan and after a KD the ref says something to the fighter in Japanese. How is the English fighter supposed to understand what he's saying?

I don't care what language he speaks. If he has issue they could have requested a Spanish speaking ref. It is Vegas. And yes you can request one. I don't see Olivio complaining either. It is still on you the boxer to follow the ref's instruction.
