Under today's rules, he shred down to 190-190, dehydrate down to 175, then starch those eastern europeans and bring the LHW titles back to 'Murica. Probably starches Opetaia after for fun, before chasing down Usyk.

This is assuming a hypothetical Joe Frazier who can stay in FOTC form.

If I must answer great historical heavyweights, Larry Holmes. Frazier is literally the only man who Holmes has ever said "yeah he'd beat me" about. Whatever happened when Holmes worked as a sparring partner for Frazier (and this would have been for the Thrilla, when Frazier was well past his best), it sure made an impression on him.

I'm confident in picking him over those guys.

I definitely think Tyson, Lewis, Louis and Foreman (obviously) all destroy him though.

It wouldn't really be a chew up, it would be a great fight.

Larry would get a fight greater than Ken Norton was, significantly greater.

I don't think even FOTC Frazier would stop him (he didn't have the Holmes kryptonite-right). But Larry would be more battered than he'd ever been.

 

Personally , I believe he'd be a stylistic nightmare for Joe Louis.

 

I agree, this love affair with USYK extends beyond his ability, Frazier wears him out

 

I’m sure you’re looking for someone OTHER than Muhammad Ali but that’s probably about as good as it gets. I suppose he might beat Holmes, Holyfield, Usyk and a few others. But some of those might be 50/50 fights

 

I agree. While I’d still favor Louis, Frazier’s fast hands, upper body movement, relentless activity and left hook would make it an extremely hard night

 

Wlad checks that chin and puts him out. That's the last guy he would want to fight.

 

I've always said Frazier is a bit unproven against real big hitters he didn't beat any of the notable KO artists of his era.

Not that I'm suggesting Frazier avoided anyone but I do think there is a slight question mark how Frazier would cope against notable big bangers.

And as much as I dislike Wladimir he's 9/10 for power easily so Frazier wouldn't be able to walk him down so easily with the threat of a KO right hand looming from Wladimir.

As for the thread apart from the obvious Ali who Frazier already beat I think Holmes is the next highest ranked Heavyweight I would favour Frazier over.
