Would Cotto at 154 had beaten Madrimov?

Is it fair to say that madrimov would've been too much fir cotto due to superior defense, size, athleticism, and versatility?

Assume we mean the 154lb version of Cotto from Yuri Foreman through D-Rod? (even in his losses to Mayweather and Trout during that three year stretch he was in much better form than in his victory over one-dimensional Kamegai and losses to Ali or Canelo).

Best for best idk. It isn't that much of a size advantage for The Dream (1½″ of height and 1½″ of reach), and he has dropped handfuls of rounds to much lesser fighters than Cotto.

Cotto best days were lower than 154. What a fighter.

No one knows we don't know what Madrimov's ceiling is yet we need to see how his career pans out the Ortiz fight should give us a decent gauge on Madrimov's level.

I've got Cotto. Madrimov showed against Crawford that he didn't know how to infight or kick it up a gear in the championship rounds.

Ortiz started at 140 and has never won a world title. There will be a bit of shame when Ortiz shuts him down with a powerjab, doesn't respect his feints and beats him up.

Maybe for you, but not for most others. Ortiz is the favorite going into this one.

And Ortiz was at 140 when he was a freaking teenager. How is this even a relevant point?
