Jake Paul could literally manhandle Canelo.

Jake Paul could HUGG Canelo all night lean on him and tire him out. :gaydude:

After a couple rounds of body shots, I don't think there will be much left of Paul.

This will have Canelo-Rocky Fielding vibes.

He will stop Paul who has never had to deal with a precise counter puncher nor has he faced an elite body puncher. I’m not convinced he takes it well to the mid section and goes down early. If Canelo decides to play with his food maybe it goes the distance

Rumors are the Netflix are willing to cough up a lot of dough for a Jake Paul fight, and seems like Canelo might be signing some sort of a deal with them. This would explain why he stepped out of the negotiations with Crawford.
But! These are nothing but rumors. Clearly no one knows wtf is going on right now.

What I have picked up over the years is that Canelo seems to be negotiating with a lot of people at the same time. They are always looking for the best deal, and have done so for a long time now.

I find it hilarious if Crawford actually got priced out of the Canelo fight by Jake Paul.

What if Jake Paul takes the Bonecrusher Smith approach against Tyson? Smother all Canelo's punches, tie him up, repeatedly and try to potshot from the outside following the break? The problem with Canelo fighting Jake Paul is that that would mean Canelo would be bulking up and putting on weight, which means that he'll become slower and will have more stamina problems than he has at 168. Both fighters could be gassed as hell by the middle rounds.

Canelo Alvarez is an elite fighter. Jake Paul is a novice fighter.

Canelo will weigh what he normally weighs in the ring, he just won't dry out in the final weeks to make 168 like normal.

It's not brain surgery. Don't overthink it.

And Bonecrusher Smith didn't beat Mike Tyson employing that strategy, either.

We gotta stop with these attention seeking threads.

This has to be a thread made purely for laughs.

There is nothing that Jake Paul has shown that says he can take a legit power punch or even avoid getting hit by them. I don't give a damn how big he is.

He hasn't even competed against a legit boxing opponent so suggesting he has shown a lot of improvement showcases your lack of understanding what is going on in the ring.

In revenue split.....but there is 0% chance of Jake Paul winning this fight.

Sounds good, but a random fans post on this sight won't automatically give Jake Paul an IQ to neutralize Canelo's attack.

No cliche phrase applies to everything. That phrase applies to competitors, trained fighters. Athletes of similar skillsets having to face someone physically much bigger and stronger them.

Unless you are trying to suggest that Paul is on par with Canelo or anyone he's faced, I'm not sure why that phrase would even be mumbled in this case.

SIze matters, it's dumb to suggest otherwise.

He's 27, roided to the gills, been dedicating his whole life to the sport and outworking other top pros in training. He's a guy who works and trains ****ing hard, most guys don't. Ngannou almost beat Fury by just being big, awkward, strong and having power. Ngannou was clumsy as hell. Jake has similiar chances vs small Canelo.
