The commentators had just gotten done saying how 23 year old Avery "The Future" Duval is among Canada's brightest prospects, when he gets dropped by a jab from the visiting Frenchman (26).

10-8 round for KJK, up 19-18 now on Matt Casavant's unofficial scorecard.

 

Jacoby-Koaly still up by a point on Casavant's card, 48-47, winning the third but then getting rocked by Duval in the fourth.

 

That is insane for a slick spoiler in with a guy that's looked very pedestrian at times.

 

Gotta say, the future of Canadian boxing doesn't look too bright if Duval represents the cream of their young prospect crop as the commentators say.

He looks very average to me. Moderate pop, can switch-hit, and can play defense well if he puts his mind to it...but the sum of his parts feels wanting.
