Anything short of a Canelo KO, will be utterly embarrassing for his legacy. Even brittle handed 40 year old Mayweather got the TKO on Conor.

 

What a joke of a fight.

 

I was enjoyed Canelo's rise from when he was quite young. Not so much now. Don't want to see this fight, dont even want it to happen. I wish Canelo would fight live dogs not fighters from lower divisions, not insta boxers. If he doesn't want to fight he could retire.

 

Ring Magazine have confirmed that this isn't happening and that Canelo has signed a 4 fight deal with Riyadh season.

 

Just confirmed 11mins ago that he will not be fighting Jake Paul.

You are, of course, correct.

However, Paul has made himself enough of a pain in the arse that I think every genuine boxing fan wants to see him carried out on a stretcher. The dude has specialized in fighting ultra-shot fighters, old MMA dudes and boxing grandpas that have long since retired. Canelo is probably slightly past prime but he's still at the top of the game. Finally a dude that hasn't got one foot in the cemetery. Paul is obviously thinking that his size will make up for any deficit in skill.

I'm no fan of the ginger biscuit, but I do acknowledge that his skills are top tier and that he works bloody hard in the gym. Yeah, he will have a size disadvantage. But the difference in class is enough, in my opinion, so that he will put a hole through this annoying boxing parasite and finally tuck the kid in for nap time.

Maybe not even that. I think Netflix made him a big offer and then Turki threw out another offer last minute. Before the Paul fight was "announced" by Ring, it was reported that Turki has made Canelo a 3 fight offer. Now Canelo has a 4 fight deal.

I bet Canelo is laughing his way to the bank right now. "They just keep throwing money at me!"
