It would be a reasonable excuse for a short notice fight, but Fury had plenty of time to negotiate the fight. He knew exactly by when he was supposed to be ready. If he wasn´t training, then he should have pushed the fight back.
Fury had over 3 months to prepare for the fight.

AJ is the favourite in this fight. He has never been good against Punchers, but Bakole is not really a big puncher. He is a brawler type and AJ can survive and control the fight by using his reach advantage and jab / box at range.

Of course there is the chance here that AJ is just shot to bits and folds like a deckchair as soon as Bakole lands.

But given the level AJ has operated at and his experience, you favour him to get a decision victory here

I'm one of Ajs biggest detractors, but he is ambitious and has guts, much more than Fury, at least outside of the ring

This will be a test to see if he can still do it and have the mental strength to overcome that heavy knockout

My money's on your deckchair analogy.

I'm thinking AJ's seriously damaged goods now. He was showing heart and courage in the moment (and had some success immediately before getting sparked out) when he lost.

I think with AJ, the 'mental demons' attack him after the event. He carries them into the next fight unfortunately....

Once again, AJ proves he takes on challenges. Most unfairly criticized boxer I've ever seen on this board.

My preference was AJ vs Wilder or Fury. That won't happen if he gets KTFO by Bakole, unless it's a circus show.
