Bowe is sure he'd beat Morrison, Foreman, and Lewis on the same night

“Let me say this. I’m going Tommy Morrison and George Foreman the same night, Lennox Lewis as a chaser. So you line em’ up.”

Poor Bowe realizes he completely squandered his career and is having nightmares now. Bowe can say whatever he wants, but deep down he regrets throwing away his belt and not securing his legacy fight with Lewis and missing so many big names in his era.

Lewis and Foreman aren't worried about Bowe at all, their legacies and health are all intact.

Is that why his team kept him away from virtually every big puncher? Because he was so good that it wouldn't be competitive at all? Amazing. What a compassionate guy.

I know I have said this before but I believe that he was already somewhat compromised as an amateur, which is why he and his corner were NOT protesting about what some perceived as a quick stoppage in the Olympics. And it also explains why they pulled him out of a pre-agreed fight with Lewis, steered him from punchers, and panicked when Tillery started kicking him (after Bowe hit him after the bell, I should add).

The article linked to Bowe making the statement back in 1993, still he never amounted to his words and fought any of them.

When Eddie Futch said Riddick Bowe had the most potential of any heavyweight he trained
it was a startling reminder of just how talented Bowe was.Bearing in mind that Futch also trained
Joe Frazier,Ken Norton and Larry Holmes that was one helluva compliment for Riddick.
Yep, sadly Riddick Bowe is probably the worst case of wasted talent in heavyweight history.

I know he's not mentioned, but I can't help but think prime Louis would absolutely ruin Bowe.

I'd put a cheeky bet on Tommy Gunn if there was just one more round in a dark alley too, probably.

Lewis and Foreman both beat him for my money.

He probably beats Morrison because his power combined with height, reach, pace, and a jab would be too much. He probably beats Foreman because he had better conditioning and was too young for him but not definitively because Foreman could crack that jaw and anything could happen. And Bowe would not move and he’d be right there to get hit. Lewis is the one fight that would be a pretty bad style match up for Bowe. It could’ve been an entertaining war though, because both could hit and both could be hurt. But Lewis was faster with better footwork.

Any of those three could beat him, and especially Lewis. Bowe's leaky defence is OK when light-hitting Coetzer is teeing off on you ... not so great when power punchers are dropping bunker busters on yo' head.

I've always thought Bowe is one of those fighters who likely doesn't geautire that highly on an ATG list, UNLESS it's a h2h list. The best version of Bowe has a tilt at most of the greats. And, unpopular opinion, I think the best Bowe would have beaten Lewis. It would likely have been like the shootout Briggs fight but with a different winner. Lewis wasn't a natural brawler but Bowe was a cultured brawler. He was happy throwing hands, and even in his wildest moments he wasn't actually wild if that makes sense. Styles making fights and all that, I think prime Morrison might have a chance...now, stick with me here. Tommy liked a fight. He'd engage. He has a massive left hook. He gets beaten by Bowe 8 times out of 10 but might land lucky the other two; Bowe beats Lewis twice in their trilogy...

Versus old Foreman...and I'm one of those who gets ridiculed for suggesting Old George was a 'better' boxer than young George...I think head to head the best Bowe....beats both versions, wins two out of three v young George and all three v the old one...

I'm heading out now, avoid the meltdown.....

I think Holyfield had already scrambled it enough. The Golota fights were just piling on the damage.

    What a ridiculous article.
You guys are supposed to be better than that ...
Bowe's words were taken from a humourous interview on a talk-show. It was supposed to be more funny than serious ...

If he fought old Foreman first, he’d be able to beat Morrison maybe, on the same night.
    Not peak Lewis.

And yet bowe failed to fight any of these 3 boxers, or any other notable champions/contenders from his era aside from Holyfield, fat old Dokes, old Thomas, etc.

He talked a big game and had so much potential, but was completely underwhelming in terms of his actual accomplishments. To this day, Bowe blames everyone but himself for why he didn't fight guys like Lewis. Holyfield actually called him out for this.
