Remember that 19 hit combo that Holyfield landed on Foreman? Imagine it was Joe Louis throwing those.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Chuvalo though he likely wouldn't make it the distance given his results against Frazier and Foreman.

I must be thinking of some other fight. Odd that I got the memory in my mind.

He was safety first and famously a bit timid opposite of the thread title.

If he stays standing I think he quite literally dies on his feet.

If Chuvalo’s face doesn’t get busted up the way it did against Frazier and Foreman he might last? I don’t remember him ever being rocked so in terms of a true KO he could maybe, maybe make it but then it is Joe Louis.

Godoy was a different guy in the rematch after being hammered over 15 rounds by Joe Louis of all people. The thing is Louis didn't do it first time out at his peak.

Rocky Marciano, in fact I might pick him over Joe Louis, I heard someone say that Louis said he never liked being swarmed and it makes sense stylistically.
He wasn’t the best at staying away, he was a great all round fighter, but with his relatively flat feet, Marciano would be able to get in without much issue and from there, it’s about whether Louis can deal with him up close, which I’m not so sure he can, Marciano has the shorter punches and knows how to fight on the inside, he’ll put his head on your chest so you can’t get leverage on your punches because it’s forcing you to go more upright, but he can get leverage because he’s in a position where his knees are still bent and he can come from any angle of punch.
He also knows how to grapple up close, he can push you off slightly to generate space for s manipulate the arms as to nullify your returns, and he can u
People might think he would get timed on the way in, he may go down, but Marciano was very underrated at avoiding punches on the way in with his head movement.
