Can someone explain to me why people rate Usyk above Mayweather & Pacquiao ?

The amount of hate for both Pac and Floyd in this thread is astonishing and honestly paints the full picture op, lmao

Gassiev was in his prime too. Glowacki as well. Dubois and AJ were very close to theirs.

    Depends what you value

For starters, Floyd is clearly a PED cheat in my humble and usually ever so correct opinion: Are we just supposed to ignore Mr I walk around at fighting weight got caught using an illegal IV, with dead giveaway disturbingly low T/E ratios, this ''surrogate daddy'' Don Hale owning over 20 TRT clinics, him refused to do VADA and insisting on using FLO-SADA (my bad I meant to say USADA) among other red flags?

And even worse he ducked his greatest rival for years under the pretext of ''cleaning up the sport.'' How many of Manny's other opponents refused to fight him unless he agreed to do drug testing? I'll wait

And do we really need to remind everyone of Floyd and his team having to issue a grovelling apology and pay him an out of court settlement for his baseless accusations of being a PED cheat after Manny's lawyers issued a subpoena in order for him to produce his medical records before the court which may or may not have incriminated him for PED use?

Manny said let's do VADA and USADA, Floyd said no way

All you have to ask yourselves, Floyd fanboys and Usyk haters, is what would happen if Usyk did all that or got caught doing that? Would he be given a free pass for it by you? Would you completely ignore it all in threads like this if the roles were reversed? We all know the answer to that

Floyd was a fantastic fighter but it's patently clear he's a PED cheat. He shamelessly ducked his greatest rival for years among others. He cherrypicked and ducked opponents until it was expedient for him to face them. He stacked the deck and never once dared fight outside his home country in 50 fights. Not once. The ''biggest star in the sport.'' The ''face of boxing.'' ''The best ever.'' Couldn't even do it once. I don't want to hear any pathetic excuses and free passes for that so don't even go there. There's zero reason why he couldn't

He weakened or tried to cripple opponents at the negotiating table after swearing he would never stoop that low to ever fight someone at a catchweight because he only fights opponents at full strength and he doesn't consider catchweight wins legitimate wins. Do I have to dig up all the conveniently forgotten quotes of his? We hold the man at his word and if he breaks it we hold him accountable

And if Floyd was man enough to play by the rules Usyk forged a career doing he would have 2 Ls bare minimum right off the bat

Usyk is just cut from a different cloth and he's never done any of those things. He not only seeks out the best in the primes at full strength he seeks them out in their backyards on a deck stacked or heavily stacked against him with

    Zero ducking and cherrypicking

    Zero deck stacking

Zero trying to weaken and cripple opponents at the negotiating table

    Zero PED scandals

Zero shoving his elbow in his opponents throats and faces so he can blindside them with cheap shots or holding like an octopus everytime they get into range.

Zero refusing to allow his opponents to wear perfectly legal commission approved puncher's gloves so that the chances of him getting hurt, dropped or stopped are minimized.

What's that quote about a true champion being a true champ in and out of the ring again?

Some people just value noble warriors like Usyk who don't need to foul, cheat, the deck stacked in their favour, cherrypick, wait for their opponents to get brutally KO'd on their face before they'll go anywhere near them, spread baseless accusations about their opponent and hide behind a pretext of cleaning up the sport in order to shamelessly duck them when they're the one who has enough red flags regarding PED abuse surrounding them to entice every bull on the planet to charge them.

And some people just don't have any integrity

And these clowns have the audacity to complain about Usyk fans? I was there throughout the Floyd era and I remember it and his fans all too well

Sincerest apologies if I've made any of his fans cry but if you're going to constantly ignore all this I'm going to remind you of it. Why? Because it matters and it matters big and you know it does too

FTR, I've never said Usyk ranks higher on the ATG list than Floyd, at least not in jest that is, so you no need to get your little pink panties in a twist

Floyd had a huge head start on Usyk, a lot more fights, forged a career as the A side not the B side, and he just had more time and opportunity to achieve more.

I'm not directing any of this at you Dynamic

His being undefeated isn't as impressive though.

At SFW and LW he was the dogs bollox, don't get me wrong.

But then at LWW he never fought Zoo, at WW he never fought Margo, Williams, Cotto or Pac (when it was relevant).

At LMW he had two very solid wins so fair play.

But being undefeated when you haven't faced the best opposition doesn't mean a lot.

It’s pretty hard to be an 8 x division world champion when you win your first world title at Cruiserweight and that’s the reason why people hold Pacquiao and Mayweather so highly, the leaps in weight. It’s like comparing apples and watermelons when you talk about welterweights and heavyweights.

I still think he came around at the right time and fought the monsters Joshua and Fury past their best.

If the match took place in Wembley, Dubois would spark him a second time around in my opinion.

It's only hate and fanboyism they have
Deepdown anyone who follows boxing knows Floyd and Manny have a greater legacy than usyk

Usyk is a warrior, but he doesn't have the resume or stats to back it up. Long after we are all dust, Floyd and manny with many before them will rank higher than Usyk.

He is an AtG, but they are simply greater

Usyk is truly humble has a solid family unit with good values is a true man of god fought everyone anywhere anytime with no real advantages apart from that dubious ref. Floyd and Pacquiao are top class fighters also but as men they can't stand next to Usyk and have had much greater advantages once the money started flowing in. Pacquiao came from the gutter and Floyd hardly came from easy beggingings but he was born into a boxing family. Floyd and Pacquiao nuked themselves by delaying that fight 5-7 years too late.

I wonder which other recent fighter has nuked themselves by avoiding a fight for 7 years

Least Floyd and manny fought within 5-6 years, not ran into retirement

Joshua is still in the trenches despite being splattered in his last fight. He's a warrior, although I dislike his persona, he is a warrior for sure

I’ve not heard one person rate Usyk over Manny. As for Money May it’s because they simply don’t like him or his style. Couldn’t care less though, Mayweather and Manny are a level above imo.

Yeah i know Serge no worries i have nothing against Usyk he's one of my top 5 favourite fighters of this era right now. But i just don't think he should be rated above the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao, right now and that's no disrespect to Usyk it's just Mayweather, Pacquiao, have such deep resumes over numerous years and have too many quality wins overall.

I would still have Usyk as top 5 greatest fighter of the 21st century though.

Have you heard of Michael Montero? He is a boxing writer and does youtube.

He rates Uysk over both Pac and Manny.

Quite alot do on this forum aswell that's why i wanted to make this thread and compare their stats. Just so people can actually see the difference because i think people sometimes get a bit too carried away with recent bias.

Usyk is a great no one is denying that and he's one of the greatest fighters of the 21st century, but if you compare his stats to the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao, i'm sorry for me he's not quite on that level regarding resumes.

Because he never aged some one out like Mayweather did. Mayweather is the atg at cherry picking. Past prime, dehydrated, judges and so on and on.

Usyk went in the lions den and never asked for anything. And he faced them all at their prime time or very close to prime with the deck always stacked against him.

So now I hope you understand why some people regard him higher than Mayweather.
Pacman was an absolute great and imo way greater than mayweather

Also they were in the last golden era of boxing usyk in the dark era! Ppv numbers and viewership shows Floyd and Pac are more popular.Usyk is just boring! Yawn!
