Like I said, I did not intend to defend Canelo. It´s just that there were ongoing negotiations that fell through, and then Canelo vacated. It´s not like the WBC suddenly mandated the fight and Canelo went running. They were already negotiating.
At least Crawford isn’t being a punk like Mayweather and the PBC brigade demanding rehydration clauses and such.
yeah true Crawford has some dawg in him you got to respect that, However this fight is still a joke especially when he is openly ducking opponents his own size. (Canelo)
Yeah but you're not respecting it are you? You're calling it a joke. You can't get respect and be a joke at the same time. Who Canelo's own size is he openly ducking? (this should be fun)
The fight is a joke stupid, not Bud, bud deserves respect. but that does not change that the fight is stupid just like a Usyk-Canelo fight would be the weight classes are there for a reason. Benevidez for years you know the guy Canelo spent several years ducking (and your excuse will be but he fought at light heavy, so did Canelo so that excuse does not hold water)
Canelo/Bivol was not competitive at all. Bivol controlled every aspect of that fight. Canelo just followed him around getting his head all jabbed up and just threw power shots at Bivols arms all fight.
Not at all. He's never lost "bad". Not even close. His 2 losses were very close decisions to top fighters. Any way you slice it, 115-113 x3 and 117-111, 116-112, 114-114 are close fights. And in both of those fights he was at weight disadvantages. He fought quite well vs Mayweather, was outclassed and outboxed, but not "completely" by any stretch of the imagination. Vs Bivol he was landing the heavier blows on Bivol over the first 4 rounds then he tired and Bivol took control. But even when Bivol was winning rounds, it was still competitive. If we're honest, stamina was the only reason he lost to Bivol. If he had more of a gas tank, he continues to do what he did in the first 4 rounds and wins the fight. But he tired and Bivol took advantage. In the mind of a Canelo hater you see close fights as dominations and you do anything you can do discredit his wins. It's pathetic.
I hope we get… Crawford, Eubank Jnr (stay busy) Benivadez and finish with whoever is at the top of the pile at 175lbs for a mega fight and a retirement win or lose…
Yeah, it's a big jump for Crawford. I think it will be competitive though. I like Canelo, but I wouldn't call myself a super fan and to me he is small at 168. Why is that hard to believe? He's always dwarfed by his opponent.
