Against that opposition if you're talking everyone at their best I think Usyk would go about 50-50.

I think he beats Joshua, Fury, Vitali, Foreman, Bowe, Louis, Marciano.

Loses to Lewis, Holmes, Frazier, Ali, Wladimir, Tyson.

Holyfield, Liston, are close match ups that could go either way.

Either way you see it he's taking losses as would pretty much any Heavyweight in history so that's not a dig at Usyk it's just realistic no one stays undefeated vs that opposition.

The worst style match up for Usyk on that list is definitely Tyson that's one match up that I would 100 percent pick Tyson all day long without hesitation.

It is fun to debate eras, but at the end of the day, it's all speculation. What counts is that Usyk is the boss of THIS era.

I would not say that he would clear every era...I would say that he's a long night for anyone. His combination of limitless engine/workrate, educated punches, iron chin, southpaw stance, head movement, footwork, lack of real weaknesses, ring intelligence, and heart is tough to beat.

And to clarify, I think his perceived weaknesses--size, power, and punch resistance to the body--are not to him what other fighters weaknesses are to them. At a billed 6'3" with a heavyweight fighting weight or over 220, he is historically a big heavy, and has had no problem dealing with some of the best super-heavies to do it. The power is there when he needs it, as Chisora, Fury, Joshua and Dubois all learned. I see no problem with him taking legit body shots.

Now, the thing is, there have been A FEW other heavies with excellent countervailing formulas for success. For the record, I think Frazier, Tyson, Lewis and Ali would make for legendary fights. Holyfield, but only when he's in EVAN FIELDS mode. I'd think he'd beat Holmes, and I think Foreman is a very good style match-up for him. Anyone before the 70s to me is too small, including Liston (yeah, I know Tyson and Frazier are smaller, but bad style match-ups).

Nah. Plenty of historic heavyweights could give him problems. Imo, prime Mike Tyson would be Usyks Kryptonite.

I think with his skills he's a threat to anyone in any era but it's hard to say he would end up being the best in all eras. His resume just simply isn't deep enough. How does he cope with someone as fast as Ali or Tyson? Can you keep someone like Frazier off him for 12-15 rounds? Has he faced anyone who hit as hard as Foreman or who had the combination of size, skills and power of a Lewis.

In the end we'll never know how he would do for sure, simply speculate. But I wouldn't right him off against anyone, because he has no clear flaws to exploit.

Oh dear… he beats, Foreman (badly), Liston (badly), Marciano (badly), Holyfield (badly) and Frazier (50-50 I favour Usyk)… Louis kills him, Tyson too I’m not sure on Holmes, Holmes never fought a good SP or any at all? Same with Lewis, but I’m confident Lewis rips his head off and makes a cereal bowl out of it, He could beat Ali, Ali wasn’t the most technical fighter and in a boxing match with someone his size, with that skill and the southpaw X factor I think Usyk wins the first one and losses the rematches - Bowe ain’t smart enough and gets boxed silly… for a guy with his limited pro experience his resume is pretty dense (counting 200lbs those guys are probably all 210-220lbs anyway) Wlad blasts Usyk to little bits as does Vitali… just slower lol.

I think Usyk is great and likely does well against the greats that came before. But beating everyone is a great ask, no matter who you ask it of.

Usyk, just like everyone who challenged themselves, could be given trouble even at his very peak, so it's hard to rule out that someone in boxing history could have done just that little bit better against him.

Needless to say, this goes for everyone.

I don't know is it just me but is Wlad vs Uysk is one of the most curious matches here? Not in terms of excitement but the stylistic matchup. I want to see how Wlad fairs against a smaller guy who could more effectively escape his clinches. Also the inside vs outside battle.

At certain level you just lose some, especially in the fantasy, historical division spanning a century.

Is he fighting 15 rounds like a lot of the greats? I love usyk and he has a lot of gears that he steps up but I don’t think his style will work in a 15 round fight.

    fighters I think he gets beat off are;

    Frazier
    tyson
    Ali
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Foreman

I love usyk he’s best of an era and a hall of famer for sure but I think the modern heavies he was up against are **** poor in comparison. Fury and AJ were so overhyped it’s unreal but that’s not usyks fault he done what he needed to do. No greats mentioned are quitting off getting jabbed like Dubois either.
