Hardly fair to judge Gassiev on that performance considering he'd been ravaged with injuries, undergone multiple surgeries, had been very inactive only fighting 4 times in 5 years, had only fought 8 incomplete rounds in all that time and hadn't fought anyone with a pulse.

I've never really been overly high on him Serge TBH Breidis yeah he's a different kettle of fish but Gassiev not so much for me.

    Doubtful.

Why go the distance?, If fixed. why not duck at the first KD?.

If it was a fix, it was a long drawn out elaborate one. Look at the cuts, too.

Maybe it was a fix, originally. But they then both forgot it was.

    It happens...

It looked like Wallin was there just to spar. Chisora is on his retirement tour, so they're letting their favorite gatekeeper have his fairy tale ending. Wallin isn't a world beater by any means, but he looked like let off the gas multiple times and only jabbed. Very odd. I wouldn't doubt this is the last time we see Wallin in the ring.

It was a tentative performance no doubt. Maybe being stopped for the first time against AJ took some of the belief from Wallin, he had a rather apprehensive look on his face before in the stare down before the fight started.

In reality Wallin was never any good, never top 10 like his supporters suggested, more top 20 level. The Fury fight he had a few good rounds against a Fury who was lacklustre and that flattered Wallin. He never had any weapons, not big, not fast, not powerful or even technically remarkable. But some fans, made him out to be something he never was.

Wallin is too weak for the division, I already said before that he is overrated, he doesn't have some skills and he doesn't have power, he should fight Hughie Fury to give us a cure for insomnia...

There was this moment in the fight where Wallin rubbed the inside of his glove over Chisora’ face in the clinch to make the cut worse. I don’t think he would do that if the fight was fixed.

wallin had the perfect chance to knock chisora out, but instead of boxing, he decided to gently pet him to sleep. his jabs looked like a bored kitten playing with a ball of yarn. chisora stood there for a few rounds, completely out of energy, and wallin probably thought, "better not hit too hard or i might wake him up." absolutely embarassing, that wasn't a fight

Wallin has made a career out of the freak cut he inflicted on Fury in a fight that he still lost. Wallin has never been a top contender.

Yep, those trying to convince others he was a genuine contender, even a fringe one, is the definition of polishing a turd. I could understand it, if he at least had power, or was quick, or had some skills beyond the basic fundamentals, but he's the definition of average in every way possible.

It's a pity that he refused the fight with Hrgovic and instead went after the money and chose Joshua who beat him, with this defeat Wallin disappears from the boxing map...
