Pretty good boxer with no power and his chin wasn't brill. Looking like a late 70s estate agent.

All-time diss was when Fred said to Ester:

“You could press your face in dough and make gorilla cookies.”

You didn’t want to get into an insult battle with Fred.

I liked when Ester and her husband were going to adopt, and she announced, "we're having a baby." And Fred said, "Now Ester, you two are too old, and too ugly, to be having babies."

Another fav was a visual. Fred just woke up, and he goes to the door, and for some reason there was a horse standing at the door, and Fred casually says, "Not now Ester..."

Very good boxer, very skilled. Little punch resistance though and not much power either.

He was a title contender and EBU champion. But I'd pick all the other EBU champ contenders of the period like Evangelista, Tangstad and Rodriguez to beat him.

He was shutting out Jerry Quarry before Quarry stopped him. Puts his capabilities in good perspective. Also took some rounds off Norton.

Yes. I said I'd pick Evangelista to win. Hes 1-1 with Rodriguez too.

That was over ten years ago when i posted that Zanon looked like Fred Sanford's next door neighbor, Julio, whose goats kept getting loose.

    How time flies...

Zanon outjabbed Larry Holmes for most of their fight and since posters are now claiming Holmes to be "the best ever" or "at least top 3 all time" then i guess we have to say Zanon had an ATG jab?

He should have accompanied Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion to OZ and requested a chin.
