Good fight, I'll have to pick Quarry because he has really good wins and is a more modern fighter than Johnson...

Quarry would struggle to get a punch through Johnson's defense.

It would also be an utter stinkeroo of a fight, IMO.

Quarry was leagues above the heavies that Johnson faced. He had excellent flow to his offense, was crafty with punch selection and angles. Were Johnson not given time to adjust to more modern fighters, Quarry walks over him. Give Jack some time to adjust, who knows. He had the talent and fighting heart.

I think Johnson would wear quarry down and stop him. Jack was durable, hard punching, had stamina and neutralizing skills like no other.

Easy to neutralize linear, one-two wharf brawlers, especially when they are midgets.

Quarry cou;d not beat Jimmy Ellis and barely edged a past it Patterson ... Jerry was fearless and had a huge heart and terrific chin but excelled against big, slow or hittable guys w dicey chins ... He would be lost against Johnson.

It often is. Those stiff-hipped plodders like, say, Jeffries wouldn't have a place in the modern game.
