Clarke has insisted on continuing his pro career. Regardless of whether or not you think he should continue, how do you think he can/should rebuild from here?

What do you think his next say, 3-5 fights should be and what should his career goals be both in the short term of 2025 as well as for the remainder of his career?

Good question. At the rate some UK promoters move, 3-5 fights could see him turn 40 first.

For my money he should aim for a low-down fight on a Saudi card when nobody's really looking, get some quick cash, and then try for one of the "names" for a payday - loser of Whyte-Joyce perhaps. He could sign for Warren and take his pick of mid level heavies just now tbh.

Needs to be very careful from here, 2 area level fights and another shot at the British would be sensible but not sure promoters can be trusted not to sell his name to a prospect. He was a good commentator and analyst and I would like to see him go down this route.

I have a lot of respect for Clarke. Seems like a thoroughly nice chap and delighted to see his quick recovery.

It is a difficult one. He barely had a test until stepping in with Wardley - what is his true level?

Apparently Wardley intends to vacate the British belt. Someone like David Adeleye might be a shout, especially if the vacant title is available.

Maybe Nick Webb for a comeback fight and then the winner of Adeleye v TKV (Joyce v Whyte undercard) would seem realistic. That would put him in a good position for the British if Wardley vacates.

is Webb back? was hoping i wouldn't have to be see his man boobs stain my screen again. Clarke would beat him but I think even somebody like adeleye would beat him now because he's got the aggression

Chin transplant would be the first step

More seriously, he can continue his career like David Price did after his mandible was exposed.

Lots of bucks to be made getting knocked out to pad records of up and comers.:sisi1

Would have loved to have seen his name on the undercard of the upcoming Whyte-Joyce match. Would have been a good fit for that card.

The only thing I'll ever remember him for was that terrible entrance and subsequent KO against Wardley.

he can't afford to take it too slow at his age but 3 to 5 fights in 18 months, 2 easy ones like Sol Dacres and Nick Webb, followed by decent scraps vs the likes of Adeleye and then fight Yoka by which point he will have enough momentum to go in with someone in the top 25.

Unfortunately, you just had that feeling that he was never gonna be top level. I think he makes the most of being one of the better British fighters, nabs the title, and possibly gets a world title shot somewhere down the line, eg Danny Williams. Retires as a hugely respected institution of GB boxing and moves into coaching and commentary.
