    Clearly these are pre-tax earnings.

Canelo would have faced the least amount of tax out of those on that list as he is under Mexican tax laws.

Fury and Joshua would have been paying 50% of their earnings to the incompetent and corrupt British government.

there are tax games they can play. The money pays into an LLC they own, the LLC pays out their training costs and entourage payroll as business expenses, etc. even the Brits aren’t actually paying half.

and by the way, US tax laws are some of the worst, as you get taxed on global earnings (so, doesn’t matter if you earned your check for an event in Saudi, taxman still cometh). Don’t think Americans have it easy.

I know nothing of Mexican tax laws, but yeah, I assume Canelo has it the easiest there.

I believe Joshua and Fury made more than that, gross numbers I mean. The rest seems right.

You think Canelo didn't pay US tax?

Manny Pacquiao wants to say hello.

    • The U.S. automatically withholds 30% of a foreign athlete’s earnings as per IRS regulations (Section 1441).
    • This applies to fight purses, sponsorships, bonuses, and pay-per-view shares earned in the U.S.
