The main event will be a surefire candidate for one of the most boring matches in the history of boxing.

Also, there's a jobber on the undercard with one of the craziest names I've seen in quite some time...

Sadaam Moamed Da Silva Caetano

This is a treacherously rough one to predict, Barboza looked terrible against and should have lost to McComb, who's a southpaw like Catterall. So one might presume southpaws are his kryptonite, and they very well could be. Although one must also take into consideration that McComb is 6'0 with the same reach, whereas Catterall is only 5'6, with a 3 inch reach disadvantage. Also McComb who was fighting tall, was far more willing to stand his ground, and constantly just out of range, whereas Jack will be constantly retreating along the ropes. Which could be beneficial Barboza, who's usually a solid pressure fighter who cuts the ring off well, who crowds his opponents and is usually quite effective at landing in combination, anywhere he can. Jack was looking pretty drained at the weigh in, and he was looking a little chinny against Prograis, could that chinniness be even more exacerbated now? It's a distinct possibility. So it could go a number of ways, with Jack outslicking him from start to finish, which I think is what they're counting on. Barboza might walk him down and deserve the win by outworking him, question is, will they give it to him? It does seem like Hearn and Oscar work well together, so Eddie might not be willing to risk that relationship for a dullard like Jack. Then there's always the outside chance Jack is really frail tonight and gets stopped. So yeah, it's a crapshoot. But Barboza does have a decent shot at the upset.

Hopefully Barboza wins, and gets the decision, because the controversy over the first Taylor match was a manufactured joke, and Jack got a bit of a gift in the rematch, especially when looking at those egregiously lopsided scorecards in what was the definition of a draw. So don't come at me with that nonsense.

Cat is a striking example of a fighter whose "whole" is decidedly not greater than the sum of its parts. The kid has good handspeed, boxes and punches well (when he actually sits down on his shots), and is quite crafty.

On the surface, he's got the necessary attributes to be a high level, very entertaining fighter. Unfortunately, the aforementioned pieces never quite come together.

I've been doing Top 30 Worst Robbery lists on here fo the last 5 years, and still plan on getting to last year, but I'm a little late. It was bad, but I'm not even sure if it makes 2024's Top 5, much less robbery of the century. For what it's worth, since I watch in excess of 400 matches per year, I've seen a lot of robberies, probably far more than you.
