I think if it’s done out of respect, it isn’t an issue morally, imo. Whether it be on boxing trunk, a pickup, or whatever. Ain’t like he was doing it out of disrespect. The man was honoring his country and his ancestors.

and aside from this — he fought a good fight and deserved that hard fought win. Catterall isn’t the most exciting to watch, but he’s pretty damn good. Beating him is a win that means something

 

Lol, I thought Caterall was too big of a favorite.
Barboza is a bore, but I really enjoy his boxing style. It´s so clean and simple, just a man who stuck to the basics.

 

Aye mate I was working so I was missing the odd 30 seconds here and there meaning I couldn't score some of the rounds with what I did see alone. Fair play to Barboza that's a quality win.

 

Catterall ia such a frustrating fighter, when he throws he can actually do a bit of damage.. but I've rarely seen a fighter with such low output, it's odd.. it's alright trying to look flashy with all this defensive stuff but you have to actually throw back.. & then he will say post fight I thought I had just done enough LOL .. well you didn't.. not enough so the judges cant distinguish a clear winner, so it your own fault.. passive, lack of offense just waiting to counter all night.. shite.. his trainer needs to have a serious rethink.. & with all due respect to Barbosa Caterall should be the beating somebody like him .. he does nothing spectacular, he's actually quite a basic fighter, not even athletically gifted either... just retire jack & take the rest of this embarrassing crop of British bumpkins with u.. while you're at it take all the cringe soy boy media ponces too.. they're just as bad here. Fkin sychopant simping stretcharses.

 

If you go to 3:05 mark in this video it's pretty much identical to Spinks vs Qawi knockdown which was called a legit knockdown by the referee.

Both knockdowns do seem to be a balance issues though so I guess it's up to the referees discretion even though technically a punch does land on the abdomen.

The punch clearly impacts. This is clearly a KD, imho.
